Especially Reavers which states that they use blood and that it's also was taught by Demons - which sounds not so different from Blood Magic.

How do you know those two specializations are templar and weaver? They could be battlemaster and soul-stealer for all we know, given the picture provided.

The one thing I've been hearing for the last two years is that we'll be limited to one spec and it will have a bigger impact on the story, so I tentatively say no, they won't be ignored.
That being said, I've never thought of the templar spec as being overly important to the story. Ultimately it's just a skill set that happens to be employed by a major organization; just because you use that skill set doesn't mean you believe in the tenets of the organization, only that you see the practical value in being able to counter magic.

The similar looking icons of the specializations and the image name kinda gives it away lol. (templar.png/reaver.png)How do you know those two specializations are templar and weaver? They could be battlemaster and soul-stealer for all we know, given the picture provided.

I'm referring to the fact that Templars need to constantly consume Lyrium to gain these abilities, and that Lyrium is connected to Magic.I've never thought of the templar spec as being overly important to the story. That doesn't prove anything. Perhaps for the templar id does, but not for the reaver.
The reavers symbol in DAO and DA2 look nothing alike, and you don't know for a fact that the picture is actually refering to reavers.
If it is, I'll be somewhat dissapointed in bioware. They created new classes for the other specializations, but not for warriors? That would be horribad.

They specifically said that specializations would not be ignored in the story.
They also specifically said that the Rachni queen would have a major role in the climax of ME3; that didn't happen, either.
Still, I'm hoping they come through on this one.

easy one. IMG source names. ))
Or do you think they had called 'battlemaster' spec pic 'templar.png' just for fun (and same with 'reaver.png')? ![]()

They will no doubt have affect on NPC's and heavily affect your character. Dragon blood won't be an issue as their source is in abundance if the trailers are any indication. Dragon Blood is both a source of great power and dangerous. It drove the cultists of Andraste in Origins insane. It probably helped out Alistair a few times without him knowing for sure. However with the Darkspawn Taint in his blood we do not know if his Reaver powers are augmented or crippled by it. The Lyrium for Templars and your interaction with the more potent but equally corrupting Red Lyrium will be a very interesting area for the Inquisitor.

The source file of the images name the images as Templar and Reaver, so while it still doesn't technically confirm anything, I think it is a safe bet.

I shall chew the fat with Templars.
I'll invite some cultists over for lunch.
I'll wine and dine some demons.
I'll do my best to serve mankind.

I wonder whether it'll affect how people receive you? Like you have to work harder to earn the trust/friendship of someone who knows that you eat humans? That would be a nice implementation.

I wonder if they'll think my bark is worse than my bite?
I am sure the antagonist will have a gnawing feeling something is wrong.
I'm ready to chomp down and dig into this game!

There aren't any physical distinctive traits to either Templars or Reavers, why would people treat you differently? Unless you straight up tell it to them, they will ahve no way of knowing what you are. That is also one of the reasons that a mage doesn't need unique dialogue paths for every conversation in the game.
