Alright, i am not sure if this is only a concern for me but. I dont play online with my 360, and i dont plan on buying an Xbox one Any time soon, i dont own a cloud, or another divice of the sort. will i still be able to transfer my data from Dragon Age Origins, and Dragon Age 2 over to Dragon Age Inquisition, or will i be Needing to Shell out the Cash and Either pick up an Xbox One, or a Cloud Divice so i can still transfer my Data over to Dragon Age Inquisition. (i may have posted this topic twice, one without the message and only the title.)

I don't think there's been any real details on how the keep works yet. At the least you will need a device with 'net access and a browser. I would however consider it extremely bad design if you couldn't save the state you created to a file locally and reload/modify/transfer that file.

I can't provide a link, because I can't remember where I saw it, but someone on the forum said that you would be able to create a world state on the Keep from your computer and put that on a USB and transfer it that way, but not sure if that is actually true or not.

Wouldn't they have to go far out of their way to stop that?

I dunno how the keep works. If it's like most webapps, odds are the state file will be saved on their server, attached to your DA/Origin/Bioware account. When you start a game the game will connect to your account and read the state file. If it works that way there's a few ways they can make it a pain in the but to use. Like - there's only one state file and you have to change it every time you want to try something new. You have to have an internet connection to start a game. There might be more annoying features but I can't think of anymore right now.

We simply do not know how the Keep works on Inquisition, Bioware has been really hush hush on the issue, Nothing has been talked about since they last talked about the keep.

No One understands what the Keep is, Or how it will work, Or rather or not you can use a USB Flash Drive to Transfer a Keep World State to your Console.

None of the biggest questions have been answered on the KEEP but the main focus is the game itself such as Release, Story, Gameplay, to me the biggest question is DRAGON'S KEEP & IMPORTING.

1.  What Kind of Online Connections will the KEEP REQUIRE - DSL, WiFi ,Broadand 56K Dial Up

2. Is the KEEP FREE

3. How does the KEEP work on a Console being PS3, PS4, X1 & 360s

4. Can I use a USB Flash Drive

I know I go on & on about the Keep in every TC I do, but I think this is an importin deal That is largely overlooked & ignored.

While the Basic Info has not been released the MOST IMPORTANT Info Hasn't been released.

Kinda of Odd since Inquisition is almost UPON US.

The keep is free.

The keep is not an app. it is a website accessible from any device that has a web browser,

The plan is for the Keep to save your world state online so when you log into your bioware/Origin account in game you can import the save from the internet.

If you do not have a connection to the internet from your games console it is unlikely that you will be able to import any world states from the keep at all and you will have to start with Biowares default world state setting which you can chose from a few. This is not confirmed but is the most likely scenario.

Bioware have stated on several occasions they are looking into saving the world state locally but aren't sure if this will be possible so i would assume that it is not going to happen until bioware release more information.

The reason they aren't telling you what you want to know is simple, THEY don't know themselves because it is all still a work in progress. I would recommend you start to make plans to get your console set up with an internet connection, it really can be very simple, and there is a wealth of people who are willing to help and provide advice and assistance, and it doesn't have to cost you any extra, if you already have an internet connection and a computer

*Edited because brain fart.

And Inquisition isn't "ALMOST UPON US".   It's over five months away. :P

Making your entries in the Keep to establish your world-state will take just a few minutes, depending on how long you agonize over which state (of the many, many ways you resolved things, over the course of your many, many playthroughs!) you want to select as THE state.

There's a rumor that the public release of the Keep will be about a month before the game itself, so... maybe early September.

Plenty of time to get things ready for October 7!

It is not such an important deal you need an official answer months in advance. If you get your answers a month before release tis ample time for anyone to decide on how to play the game.

And the game is not almost upon us with it still being months away. Maybe I am harsh on you but that is because you keep repeating your non-issue so often. And some of your issues have been answered such as the Keep being free. If you can browse this site your connection is likely fast enough for you to download a simple save file with flags. They have also mentioned before you can access the Keep from anywhere and put the save file on a USB stick, see for sources the official Keep thread. The only thing unknown is being able to upload old save files to the Keep and it is best to just not count on it.
