Okay, I bought ME1 on Steam after it was ported to PC, and I bought Bring Down the Sky sometime later. I bought ME2 (PC) when it was first released, and all the DLC as it was released. I bought the collector's edition of ME3 (PC) and all the SP DLC as it was released. Not interested in the MP stuff.

My question is, if I buy the trilogy version can I install the missing DLC from files I already own without any issues?

Origin should be able to detect that you already have ME3 and the SP DLC on your account, so it should be ok.

when you say from files you already own, you mean............copying the ME3 installation folder and pasting it? I've never tried that.

Your Steamcode for ME1 should work on Origin. I registered my retail copies of ME1 and 2 on Origin a few weeks ago.

The DLCs are tied to your EA/Origin-account and will automatically appear in Origin when you add the games.

You don't have to buy the games or the DLCs again.

I've copy/pasted the ME3 DLC folder after installing the main game from the disk. It works, and saves having to re-download the DLC.

I bought ME1 directly through steam, I don't have the retail version of it. In my experience any game I've bought through steam has to have steam running in the background to work.

There is a CD key for every game bought on Steam. Copy that key and redeem it in Origin. Might work.

If not, ME1 costs only 4 Euro today.

Just tried it. Product code works, but Origin wants me to download the game now. Guess that answers that, heh. Thanks for the help.

Just copy the game files from the steam folder to the location you use for Origin-games. The download should be pretty small.

You should be able to just use the Steam Key on Origin.
