This is just a topic to see what characters the community wants create for their first playthrough for DAI, not specific to Qunari Rogues but I already know who I plan to play as. Although, I am a little worried that I'm going to enjoy Qunari Rogue so much that I may not want to play as anything else. It happened to me with DAII, I played as a Rogue Hawke and didn't really try the other classes. Let me know your thoughts.

I would not play a qunari rogue. It bothers me because rogues just shouldn't be tall like that.
*goes off to play buff qunari mage" >.<

Qunari is the last race I will play. I think I am the only fan out there who is not exited about Qunari being playable. I am indifferent to it.

Qunari rogue for my first (and canon) playthrough! I was hoping for something like the artificer class since I wanted more variety than just "two daggers or a bow", so I'm pretty happy to hear that yes, there will be more variety.

Aye. Give me my Dalish Mage and get outta my way.

I felt the opposite. Rogues in DA2 were boring and I went either warrior or mage all the time. Rogues in DAO were fine because of the bard and ranger specs.
It would be nice to continue tradition and pick rogue as my first playthrough, but playing as a Qunari mage sounds more appealing to me at the moment.

Playing a saarabas first time around, in a world-state where a male Amell romanced Morrigan and fathered the harbinger of the apocalypse, a female mage Hawke romanced Anders and stood with the mages, and Anora and Alistair rule together. Don't know what I'm playing second.

Why would I go with the inferior Qunari Rogue, when the almighty Qunari Warrior is available? ![]()

No, unless there is an achievement associated with playing a qunari, then i might do one.... but i dont intend to play a qunari at all... unless im very drunk which is very likely to happen at some point

I do however plan on playing a qunari mage and maybe warrior down the road though. The mage knight enchanter combined with a sarebaas character concept looks too cool to pass up.
I'll reserve my elves, humans and maybe a dwarf for my rogues.

I've never much cared for playing as a rogue, to tell the truth.

I guess there has never been much in the way of sneak in DA games anyway so does it matter what size a rogue is?

My second character I plan on making is a Qunari female rogue who is built like a warrior (First being a male mage elf who is going to be the most pitiful thing as ever). I always really liked the play style of the rogues, but not the warriors, even if the lady that I make second in all my games tends to be a sort of warrior. But I have always enjoyed the rogues in DA more, they have way more uses with the pick locking and speed.

Great responses everyone, keep them coming. Judging from some of the posts I may have to give some thought to a Saarebas Knight Enchanter for a second playthrough.

I'm gonna be a female Qunari sword & board reaver. I was planning to go dwarf, but I'm inconsistent and indecisive so now it's Qunari all the way.

I'm not planning on doing a qunari rogue, but I'm definitely doing a male qunari warrior for my first playthrough.

They pick a good pocket. Very sneaky.

I'm planning to play a qunari rogue eventually, although I think a mage Knight Enchanter will be my first Inquisitor with horns. (I was torn between making her a mage and a warrior, but now it looks like I don't have to choose!)
Having seen Varric turn invisible and do backflips from a standing start, I don't think there's anything more implausible about a qunari doing the same.

Playing as a Qunari warrior or mage won't be much of a problem, neither is a Qunari rogue archer much of a problem. But imagining a stocky Qunari doing acrobatics with knives will take some used to seeing. Most Qunari "rogue" we saw in DA2 threw pikes. Rogue is my favourite class for human and elves, but I do not know how it will be for a Qunari.

I'll be playing a Qunari mage but I'll absolutely play a dwarven rogue at some point.
