Could be risky if she calls it as a bluff
Plot armor is the most powerful force in fiction. I think the Inquisitor will be alright.

"Then look harder."
Cassandra :- You're the only threat I see.
Evil Inq: Woman those orphans attacked me first so i had to set them and the orphanage on fire ,it was purely self defence
Cassandra : ..........
Evil inq : oh we are not talking about that? forget i said anything.
There is literally only one way to respond to Cassandra threatening you with a sword:
Spoiler
And then she stabs your face, game over.
That's great.
Yeah, she's got some serious cojones responding that way.In my opinion, that's pretty detrimental to one's health.
She's likely a lawful good. I'll appeal to that personality using logically sound conversational options(if available). If I try the old stab and run, it'll be like poking a stick at the wasps' nest. Otherwise I'll just play it cool....directly after being dramatically altered by the fade? o.OSo my question is how would your Inquisitor react in that situation? And what would they say as well?

I'm actually a huge fan of "You made a choice... well, here's a quick scene of you dying now. Reload"
I enjoyed it in the Game of Thrones RPG when you bump into Cersei and depending on how you interact with her, she can end the game. Same with Morinth.

Yeah I admit they are fun to have for the sake of adding more layers to the game. Could have worked in DA:O if you didn't have enough constitution or Willpower the Joining kills you.
From what i know about the story the Inquisitor cannot remember what happened so we will probably have to rediscover what happened throughout the game so the Inquisitor will not be surprised by Cassandra’s reaction.
I would probably say i can see how it looks but i am all you got so stop with the dramatics and let’s see what we can do.
Doubt someone who just lost their memory will be that level headed. And lot of panic and confusion, only to add to it with a woman you never met before threatening you with a knife.

"I'm guessing you like it rough?"
*Gets stabbed in the face*
*says "Worth it" as Inquisitor slowly bleeds out*

As long as my PC can dodge the blow with enough Dex sure ![]()
Though my favorite bad end is in Fate/Extra. The game has you running from someone and it tells you to go somewhere SAFE if you go to the worst place possible you predictably die. XD Oh and the game tells you you're vastly inferior to your opponents. If you act like you're not...well...

That's no mere knife, that's a full sword.
Well, I'm late to the party.
Have you considered that this may be (most probably is) just the beginning of the game? PC is not an inquisitor yet I suppose, just some riff-raff, a sole survivor of a massacre, barely escaping thresher ma.... me sorry, wrong game =)
On to the topic.... my future Inquisitor would simply disarm her
with a smile and something along the lines "you and what army?" ;P
That would depend how you play the Inquisitor and what kind of personality you have.
Sorry, just don't see it. You can have any personality you want, but when you lose you identity in a flash in amidst a massive explosion. I doubt you'll be logical at that very moment

My Inquisitor would probably be like: "Want to take a stroll through the Fade again? Just you and I..." ![]()
Did anyone else feel deja vu when she said that? It seems like she has a habit of immediately pulling out her sword and placing it at people's necks without thinking.
"You better put that down before I lock you up in some dark corner of the Fade with my new found power"
