I concur with tailoring horns like hair, I believe I read horns and hair will be separate, but it wouldn't surprise me if there's a bit of dimorphism in the species and horns in females are overall a little smaller.

Do you think the Qunari beauty industry does a line in fake horns, a Qunari specific variant on wigs? If they don't, as we're visiting Orlais, now would be the perfect time to float the idea to them.

As a metal head, I approve of having the option to go with horns for a female Qunari.
THAT IS THE DEVOL!! EEEEVAIL!!!!!

just looking at this from a logical real world view point. if females have smaller horns than that means that as the species evolved they became less of a defense thing and more of a mating thing. thus perhaps bigger horns on males were more attractive. this is kind trashed by the fact that the hornless Qunari are supposed to be more intimidating though.

I think people are putting too much thought into "What the Horns Mean".
I think they're not seen as much more than Qunari hair. Just like some hairstyles and colors are desirable and some are intimidating, Qunari have the same issues of taste to sort through.
I can't help but feel this focus on primal biology paints the Qunari in a light that makes them seem less-than-human (Dwarf or Elf).

Qunari horns aren't the product of natural selection though. They're the product of character artists. If qunari dudes have wide, massive horns like the Iron Bull while qunari ladies have small, dainty horns, it's not because of evolutionary pressures but because Bob the artist prefers big and massive for dudes but small and dainty for women.
Here's the thing: If I wanted to play a small and dainty woman, I'd pick an elf.
When playing a qunari, I want to be large with impressive sized horns. That's what makes that race visually distinct/appealing.

Pretty much this. I want an ample set of huge awesomeness. Here's the thing: If I wanted to play a small and dainty woman, I'd pick an elf.

As with the selective breeding argument earlier, it would seem likely to me that the soldiers would have larger horns tied to former defensive needs, such as bulls and other animals that have horns to charge with, to say nothing of larger muscles to support it. In-world but not necessarily in-game, rogues, artisans, farmers, shopkeepers, etc, might have smaller horns and smaller forms.
I like, though, that a lack of horns is intimidating to qunari. That's opposite how most fantasyworlds operate.

I want a horn toggle option. Like helmets in Mass Effect.
Or option for many different types of horns.

I rather like these. Neat. I'd like to think that Female and Male Qunari would have 'horn' options in customization much like hair options, so there'd be more than one set of horns to choose from. I guess we'll see how that works though.
Also hoping the horn options are also separate from hair options in the CC.
So I can go with short hair/big horns or something. Don't want the cool horns locked in with a bad hairstyle.

On the big, bottom pic, those horns make the femQuanir look like a demon!

I'm actually kinda hoping for smaller horns, because I'm going to play a qunari mage and I want one of those awesome mage hats.

I actually wouldn't mind this as a tattoo, except for two drawbacks:
1) Hand tats hurt like hell, so I've been told.
2) I have a limit on how low I get a tattoo down my arm. If it can't be covered by a t-shirt, then it's too low for my personal taste.
On topic: They will probably have an option to customize Qunari horns in the character creator. As far as any helms go, the horns might just act like hair on other races; the helm will cover them up.

How do you know that Tal-Vashoth (which is what we shall play as) females are mainly rogues?
A fair point, but our characters will be Vashoth, not Tal'Vashoth. Tal'Vashoth left the Qun and can be of any race, Vashoth are kossith that were born out of it.

I've said it before, and I will say it again. I want ram horns for my female Qunari.
Ram.
Horns.
I really like the horns in the last picture of the OP, however. Just maybe a little bit smaller. If I can have ram horns and curly hair for my Qunquisitor, I will be a very happy lady indeed.

Looking at the actual in game pic of the whole team, it was interesting that Iron Bull's horns appear to jut straight out on each side of his head. I had seen concept art of that, but I figured it for a stylistic choice, not an in-game reality. Thats wildly different from any of the horns we have seen elsewhere. Yes, it distinguishes him as a companion, but also, it makes a good case for the Qunari having a WIDE variety of horns. So, hopefully that will be true of the character creator for both genders of Qunari. I want to be able to make male and female Qunari with big horns, small horns, and no horns; with a variety of haircuts available for all of them too haha

I fine with smaller horns. What I'd be more interested in is different shapes for the horns. I would love some ram-like horns for my Lady Qunari.

I'm excited for qunari customization but I worry about tech limitations making it necessary to have less options overall.

Yeah, ram horns~ And I totally love your avatar.I fine with smaller horns. What I'd be more interested in is different shapes for the horns. I would love some ram-like horns for my Lady Qunari.
I'm pretty worried as well. Can't wait until we get to see some actual confirmations or even pics and videos.I do wonder how the game will handle horns in general. Will all the helmets be customized the qunari so that horns will show properly? If so does that mean horns will be preset settings only (like hair) to limit the chaos we would cause with horns and helmets? Will horns be separate from hair, or are they tied together like skyrim did for argonians?

Oh, and I totally love your avatar as well. Hard work and guts!
