Hopefully we'll get a "Thank the Maker the Divine had not yet arrived" line. I'd be pretty upset if she was offed in the first hour or so!
Considering how its specifically pointed out that the Chantry's headless after this, and Cassandra and Leliana who were her left and right hand are now with you, she's basically at least one of the ones guaranteed to die in this part.

I can already see it.
The PC will romance Cullen and it'll be the best written romance in the game. Then near the middle of it there will be a wedding...

Templars can wed, yes. Just look at Wesley with Aveline.

ok better Question: Are they Supposed to?
Here's what the wiki has to say for what it's worth:
Templars take vows upon knighthood, but these do not include a vow of chastity. Templars are nevertheless discouraged from marrying or raising children since it is impractical to live apart from ones' dependents. Such unions are occasionally permitted, provided that the templar's spouse has his or her own means of support, for example, owning land or a title A templar marrying another templar or a mage within the same Circle would be considered fraternization within the ranks and would seldom receive permission.

Out of all of them I expect Evangeline may be the one to avoid the gruesome fate.

Evangeline will survive the event. Rhys will not. Evangeline will go batshit crazy abomination and create the Red Templars. Calling it now.

I forget, didn't those forcibly possessed templars in DA2 Act 1 turn into abominations? Or were they just possessed individuals?

That was one of the scenes that made me discount how many abominations they are in gameplay versus story. For those to be story, the abominations would have to know that Wilmod and Cullen would go there, bury themselves long enough ago so the dirt above the doesn't look freshly dug, yet survive that long period of wait.

I honestly just thought that was a mistake by whoever programmed it; that Wilmond was supposed to turn into an abomination and shades were supposed to pop out of the ground(that being what they do and all), and someone just mixed them up.

It all looks so very horrible. Not a hint of hope. No light at the end of the tunnel.
I wonder who or what they'll take next.
Remember that the Inquisitor walks out from the Fade. So yes, the Inquisitor is literally the light at the end of the tunnel
Now that Hawke screwed up again everything is going wrong, it's time to put things right. Tha's the rule of drama, isn't it?
Still wondering how they will justify to use that place for the summit if Leliana wasn't with the Warden, Genitivi died, the ashes were defiled and the dragon and its mad cult were left alive.

I think this is essentially what they were talking about when they said that while they were going to preserve as many of our choices as possible, there were some things that were going to have to be set.

I don't know that they're going for tragedy so much as they're just cleaning house.
Why not both? Remember how the Warden and Hawke were supposed to show up at some point in the game?

Cassandra killed the dragon. It was way easier for her than for the Warden too.

Semi-confirmed rumor: Cassandra activates her invincible ability during a dragon encounter and gains 9000% increase in attack as well.

Well whoever did it has to have some key abilities and motives:
1- They have to have the power and/or knowledge to open a Fade Tear
2- They must have a reason for why they would want the conflict to continue
3- They probably want to do something more important that just keep a conflict going.
4- They also probably had to be there to do it, meaning they are skilled at infiltration, or a member of a group involved.
This leads to a rather large pool of suspects actually.
Any mage who can be possessed, any Chantry official who is wanting to kill the mages off, a political radical wanting mages to be free without compromise, groups profiting off of the turmoil like possibly Tevinter, or even more unknown elements.
At this time I would put good money on it being a demon, possibly Flemeth, Fen'Harel, etc.
Maybe Sandal?
He did say a prophecy that kinda sounds like this.

it was my understanding that inquisition takes place a few months to a year after the kirkwall incident... so even if it is somewhere else, it wold make sense that it has nothing to do with kirkwall
