I disagree on your spoiler there Dr Vile. For the Wardens being attacked all over the place that might make sense. For the explosion that the Inquisitor survives being at the Urn of Scared Ashes makes no sense right now.

Sends report before he dies.
I don't see it being used as a location for a peace conference as "available to everyone".
I answered the wrong question. Aistair didn't want the Brother to have a ton of people visiting the urn at the temple.

Well a few things really:
Genetivi was studying the Urn and sources for it.
Rumors of him doing just that were known by quite a few people around the nation
It has been a decade since the Warden was there most likely.
So it is not insane to assume that the Chantry could have found it, or someone else did and told them.
More than likely if done well it can be the first part of the game to showcase our choices.
With like some guards talking about it saying things like:
"We had to clear out some cultists and saw this huge dragon flying away!" -If you sided with them
"I got to see the Urn myself! Genetivi was doing research on it!" -If you preserved it
"That Guardian sure is creepy! I hate how he told everyone I hated my brother because he got a girl I liked" if the Warden lives
Etc.
I hope it is not just going to skip past a really interesting set of choices.
Really though seeing some people around the net going "GRR I MURDERED SO MANY TO KEEP IT A SECRET RETCON PREORDER CANCELLED!" is really pointless. Since we dont really know how and why.
I mean I would love seeing the Dragon return from the ashes if we did not kill it in Origins.
CHOICES and all that.

Pretty much cultists take care off his research so no one found their village which is why they send their guy to his house.I don't even mention that the warden can kill genetivi so urn stays away from the world talking about that would have absolutely zero sense. Also as i said the warden can be only witness as outside alistair you don't have to recruit any other companion and you don't have to take alistair there and even he can die twice near the end ,then after you destroyed ashes you can kill kolgrim and dragon so as i said only warden knew.

Flemeth seems more subtle than that.
Personally, I think the cause is on the other side of the Veil.

I'd really be disappointed if Flemeth turns out to be the unredeemable baddie. I was "meh" about her in Origins, but she was one of my favorite things in DA2.

With renewed interest and the research of Genitivi it not too far fetched that they eventually found it. Even if the cultists live they are no match to the seekers and other chantry forces.

someone in the forums had pointed out that in one of the game play videos one of the venatori had screamed long live the dragons or something along those lines... what if all this is caused by them as a dragon cult, trying to kill off the fake prophets of the chantry?

The only thing I remember hearing from them was "HE WILL RULE!"
Which pretty much exclude any dragons, all the big ones are females and I don't see people worshiping the smaller drakes.

They could be Old God cultists. A tiny minority in Tevinter devoted to Rasikale and Lusacan is all that's left of the Cult of the Old God.

Some of the Old Gods were males and were still in the form of a High Dragon.

There are basically two Andrastes: Andraste the women and Andraste the Prophet as represented by the Chantry.
Even the chantry scholar Sister Petrine, says that anyone would think from Chantry propaganda that she conquered Tevinter with a basket full of flowers. She makes the point that she was at the head of a war band in an armed rebellion. Whilst the barbarian tribes who lived in Ferelden were at the very southern tip of the Empire of Tevinter, nevertheless until the actions of Maferath and Andraste they were vassals of the mages.
For me the tragic thing is that I think Andraste genuinely wanted to free people from slavery and have a better, equal and more just society for all. The Chant of Light is actually a good blue print for this but so called Andrastrians, both White and Black Chantries, have twisted those teachings to suit themselves and then used the argument of Divine approval to maintain their hold on power and justify their oppression of others.
The first place Andraste targeted outside Ferelden was Kirkwall, thus freeing all the slaves there. Whilst this may have been strategic in order to deny the Magisters a major sourse of magical fuel, and to gather more supporters, nevertheless she did free them. Shartan, who was part of the Tevinter forces at the Battle of Valorian Fields, was clearly convinced that supporting Andraste would be a better bet and so led his forces into changing sides, thus ensuring the barbarians victory.
The problem was that Maferath had clearly been more interested in his own power than some idealistic crusade and so I think the assessment that he did a deal with the Magisters in order to keep what he had already won, was pretty near the truth. After all, the Qunari have been at war with Tevinter and despite their own technology and resources, have never been able to conquer anything more than Seheron and Tevinter today is but a shadow of what it was in the past. Mafareth knew that an army marches on its stomach and having laid waste to much along their journey, it they had been forced into a long drawn out war of attrition, they would probably have starved. Nevertheless, give him his due, his did keep his promise to Shartan after his death and cede part of what he had won to the elves. So even he was truer to the teaching of Andraste than the Chantry has ever been.

Wait, what? I thought that Emerius (the ancient name of Kirkwall) din't escape from Tevinter hands until -25 Ancient, when a slave rebellion killed the magisters there. That was more than 100 years after Andraste died.

So when we form the inquisition in this game it's a Master Stroke almost by going through a loophole, because at the beginning of the game when the head of the Chantry and the head of the Mage's faction they're going into the Temple of Sacred Ashes to this peace talk, and they're all killed. There's this massive explosion and this breach in the sky opening up, and the Chantry's in absolute chaos. It's headless. You've got infighting between different factions, you've got people saying screw it let's all retreat back to Val Royeaux and elect a new leader et cetera.
Ridiculous, Kolgrim's group and The High Dragon would have eaten them first at least in my "real" DAO Reaver playthrough..ah well hopfully that explosion scene is shown after Fiona makes some witty remark if she is even there lol.
Damn Leliana's plot armor in DA:O I wanted the temple to remain a secret since that's seems to be the only way anyone could have found that place I guess the Warden should have left some of those drakes alive.
Ha! Ha! all of those Justinia V threads.

Cassandra eats dragons and cultists for breakfast, as shown in Dawn of the Seeker, so I don't think they will stand a chance against a whole company of Seekers leaded by her. Still, I hope the game acknowledges the different world states regarding the Sacred Ashes. Nothing major, two NPCs discussing how the place was discovered would be enough.

Dawn of the seeker Ugh even that much plot armor couldn't save Cass from a fade tear explosion that's right on top of possibly thousands of lyrium veins that entire mountain must have gone up like an oil refinery, If a single mage managed to pull that off he must have used Blight magic.
Someone in this topic posted about Bioware changing up things again so I'll just go with that I'll say one these recent developments along with selectable races has my interest.

Simple. Cassandra wasn't there when it happened. She implies as much in the trailer.

She was fighting with 1 mature dragon not high dragon (only high dragon was in the end and she didn't kill him only pride demon that she couldn't even scratch). Not to mention that only the warden could know where ashes were in some games.

One, that was almost 20 years ago so Cassandra is much improved.
Second, other people besides Genetivi could have been looking and found it.

Improved? how there are limits that humans can achieve and pretty much anime was unrealistic enough that she killed ogre with 1 hit when ogres are known from being extremely tough to point that wardens even check if they are truly dead not mention super fast running with heavy armor and cut in half but well it is anime.
Genitivi research were hidden cultist and every person that know about that including knights that found genitivi research are dead killed by cultists. Not mention that he spend entire life seeking urn...
