You could always have a whole organization of them working to get the power of the Fade/Golden City/Maker/whatever. It wasn't just one Magister who provoked the Blight, after all.
And it could be tied to the original Inquisition. Maybe an evil organization from the past that has been plotting their return for centuries? Just making guesses, though.
