I was looking at the release dates of the Mass Effect products, and I noticed that everywhere I've looked, Notably Amazon, lists

Mass Effect: Revelation's release date as being May of 2007, with ME 1 being release in November of the same year. Is this accurate? I know the book was a prequel, but was it actually written before the first game?

Yes it was. That's why there's some lore inconsistencies in the book. For instance, the krogan are described to often have biotic abilities, while this is not true in the final universe. It probably was true earlier on, such as when the book was written (and likely while they were designing Wrex, as well).

Krogan have biotic abilities. Although minority of them (Battlemasters, Shamans), but they have.

Fascinating. I'm really surprised by that, but cool none the less.

But yes, as Bloodymares stated, Krogans can use biotics. From the wik:

A famed krogan mercenary and bounty hunter, Urdnot Wrex is also one of the last Krogan Battlemasters: rare individuals who combine powerful biotic abilities with the devastating firepower of advanced weaponry.

Thanks for the confirmation on the book, though!  :)

There are many Krogan biotics. However, they are still a minority of the total population. Krogan that master the physical and biotic elements of fighting, are Battlemasters - though I don't think the biotic part is actually required. It just helps, as the Krogan aren't uncomfortable with biotics like Turians can be, but instead welcome it as another weapon.
