Hello BSN,

It's a me again :D ^^

And I have just had a thought on the companions we are getting (which I am still a little dissapointed by!):

Why do we not get some special companion again, someone or something that is not "normal" something like say one of those Sylvans (the demons/spirits possessing a tree) or something...I mean, we had a Golem, a Spirit (in a corpse), two Abominations (Anders and Wynne) etc.

Hell, It might be even say someone with Multiple-Personality-Disorder or two beings in one body or something like that...just spice up the mix a little :)

greetings LAX

ps: Something like a permanently summoned demon (for example a desire demon) might be cool, too :)

All companions are special in their way.

I think he ment not necessarily Mundane or Basic Mage., Ergo we have Cole(a Ghost/Spirit/Demon thing), and the Inquisitor and His Glowing Fist of Destiny.

hm...

yeah, him...

really don't count him though (probably because I am not interested in that character ^^ - because having him there will probably have us meet Rhys at some point who I dislike strongly....)

greeting LAX

ps: yeah, I meant: non-generic human/elf/darf warrior or rogue and not human/elf mage either :) (that leaves demons/spirits of all kinds, magical contructs (golems etc.), animals like the mabari and special cases like abominations, split-personalities (or two personalities in one body) etc. ;)

Iron Bull is a badass qunari mercenary, who is nothing like a regular qunari. He has a bunch of charisma, where as all the qunari we have seen previously are very stoic, and humorless.

I'd say that's "special" .Depends on how you look at it i suppose.

You know next to nothing about all of these companions, and basically nothing for most of them. Who's to say they aren't all possessed?

In all seriousness, though, I think it has to do with balance, and all that class dynamic stuff. I'm sure we'll have abilities that let us summon our own mabari or even a golem or whatever. But not as companions.

oooh Nice!, i still have to give it to the Glowing Fist of Destiny as being "Special" in that sense.

You can't choose whether or not to count something as being present based on if you like it or not. That's like me saying "Not fair! We've had mage companions every other game; why aren't there any here?" and responding to Vivienne, Solas and (presumably) DHMG with "Oh I don't count them, they don't interest me". Doesn't stop them from being mages.

Well, now that we've cleared that up: Which companion do you think we'll get next in the series? Chasind or Saarebas?

If everyone in the party was a Special Snowflake, then the Inquisitor would no longer be special.

The fact that you are special and some of your party members are less so, is so that they can look on at you... Green with envy
