Pretty much the title. I would like to know because I would prefer if I  could end an old LI before persuing a new one so that when I meet the old LI they wont be like:

OH MAH GAWD WAI?!?!?!?!?!

Obviously, this can be counted as a spoiler so please please please PM me if anyone has info.

Also, no posts of "Wait until the game comes out" would be really appreciated. The whole reason Im asking is so that I can plan a little bit of my first play thru.

To put it simply, if you picked Liara, you're probably going to have a kid.

That's why I'm redoing my transfer file, so I can romance Tali without worrying about some baby mama.

That's why I "romanced" Ashley, then killed her off. To avoid this issue. I like Miranda more, anyway

The one thing I don't understand is why Bioware has stated that they're going to see how many people cheated on their ME1 love interest through the achievements.

I've played my main Shepard three times: One where he romanced Ashley, the other with Liara, and the final one where he was single so he can hook up with one of the ME2 love interests.

If you've got a romance achievement in both playthroughs (ME1+ME2), you've cheated on your first LI, quite easy. In ME the Romance-Achievement appears everytime you complete a romanceplot, not only the first time, so they may track it that way.
