Y U no big shield?
Don't be silly. The big shield is only useful for blocking doorways.
To be fair, rocket troopers are dirty cheating bastards. Last night I had two of them targeting me at once, while I was cloaked.
Maybe they spec'd into Hunter Mode. ![]()

My beef with puggernauts has always been seeing them being used by newer players in platinum games where they clearly don't belong. They don't understand the game well enough or the kit for that matter, to be useful beyond drawing aggro for a few seconds before they get overwhelmed.
Having them in games does make it easier on your teammates, but I enjoy the challenge of trying to kill things while having aggro coming from all directions. If I wanna shoot bad guys while they're focused on my teammates the whole game, I'll play an infiltrator. ![]()

But it's a primer for Tech Bursts!

"Tech bursts? Why bother?" said a wise BSNer once.
It can still prime and be small shield.
Same here OP, I really don't get why some people hate pug juggernauts, especially melee juggernauts with such passion. Most "puggernauts" are actually quite decent at tanking the boss units and after that, it is a flamer or smash class heaven.
That picture is adorable!
It's not about liking them for me. It's just that I'd rather have one than some of the PUGs I tend to run into. If you're going to play badly, you may as well be a good distraction.
This is not a Puggernaut. He's carrying a Claymore. Claymore actually kills things. Actually killing things disqualifies you from the Puggernaut category.
A puggernaut means I don't have to worry about the two Banshees/Primes/Phantoms/Praetorians while I kill the real threat. They do help in that way.
Dictated but thread not read.
When I see a puggernaut, I puggernaut to see who wins!
I got the AIU, Tsent, and Battlefield 3 dude when I loaded up the game on my boyfriend's account.
Isnt the jugg the gimmie character most new players get when the open the gift packs? I opened a second account and got one as did my stepson and my friend who just started playing. All of us are ps3 but 3 new accounts in 5 days got the Jugg.
Nope, my friend was buying packs for ages before unlocking the juggernaut.... We had begun to imagine that he was never going to unlock it, lol....

Yesterday I jumped out of the window of the building up the ramp from the LZ on Ghost. Literally as I hit the ground, 4 rockets hit me. It seems they knew where I was going to be well in advance of me getting there.

It's random. Some people take ages to unlock the Jugg.

That's what happened to me. Well apart from the boyfriend part - I don't have one of those.
I don't mind them either. Yesterday, however, I had to explain to one (a boy of eleven?) how to use the heavy melee. In our second match. He seriously thought that that was a power from some other kit.
This was after he left the first match after saying he should be playing as a juggernaut and then came back into the match to die repeatedly as a juggernaut. He left the second match, never to return.
He was the puggerest of the puggernauts.
I joined a PUG lobby yesterday with my Juggernaut and one of the PUG's immediately switched to a Juggy with a Harrier and Reegar - both of which had an Omni-Blade attached - then switched back again. Pretty sure it was a BSNer trolling me.
The thing about it all, as far as I can see is that the many different classes and many different characters within the classes is to cater for a variety of different play styles, so that everyone that loves playing can find something they can contribute to the game with.
In my opinion this is one of the greatest successes of ME3 multiplayer; catering to other peoples play styles.
