No clue yet. Depends on how they sound.

The British voice would fit in well with a Loki-styled mage. Very eager to see how the American voice would be on a Qunari as the British voice would not seem to suit a big Qunari.

We need the clothes to go with. A trench coat and a cap with a pipe in the mouth to go with it, also eating the occasional pie.

I'll probably go with American. The British accent from the trailer didn't really sound like it would lend itself well to the witty bastard I like to play.

Silly of me to get irritated by the British voice thing, what with Britain being made up of different countries. (Pet peeve is silly! I know)
Anyway, as I am English, I will be choosing an English VO, if that is what is meant by British.
You sure that's precise enough? Wouldn't want you pining for the speech of some village in Suffolk, only to get some Sloaney actors. ![]()
Seriously, it's a British accent of a British person, not the British accent of all British people. Same when you replace British with American. "English accent/dialect" is too ambiguous in meaning in general usage due to the eponymous language covering a much wider area than the country it derives its name from. Unfortunate, but yours is not the only case of such, so deal with it. Jeez.

Since my first toon will be a male human, I'm going to go with the male British voice that we heard in the trailer.
The American accent is for dwarves and Qunari.

The voice actor for the British voice is pretty good, but i'll probably go with the American one. Because my human Inquisitor was, uh.... raised by dwarves. Or Qunari. Or something.

I'll be playing a female elven mage first, and elves are all dalish, right? So I guess American. Maybe my character left an alienage and found the Dalish.

Boromir or Ned Stark?

Hopefully you'll be able to change your looks/voice anytime you want.
Agree with looks. (Hair, facial hair, make-up, etc.) but changing your voice mid-story?

Boromir or Ned Stark?
That would be Sean Bean.
If so, RIP the Inquisitor.

I'll pick the voice that matches my race/culture because that means a lot to me. American for Qunari/Dwarf, English for Elf/Human.
So since my first Inquisitor will be a female dwarf, American.

Which ever one sounds better to me.
Unless Kate Higgens or Laura Baliey are one of the voicesets then it'll be easy. ![]()

Depends on the voice itself.

Did I not say it was a silly pet peeve?
I can deal with it.
Doesn't change the fact that Britain is made of different countries, with significantly different accents. I don't think I'm being unreasonable or even aggressive in pointing out the difference. In fact, I intentionally tried to use a light tone in my post!
And yes.. Each country has different accents within it too.
Frankly, I am perfectly happy with an inquisitor speaking with the Queen's English.
I'm actually overjoyed that we have the choice of American or English accents.
Though if I must get precise.. Sean Bean's voice sounds beautiful to me

Depends on what they sound like
I remember one of the DA:O voices was the guy who did Jowan's voice
couldn't handle that nonsense

British of course. It's like choosing between steak with fine wine and a hamburger with beer.

Ah, remnants of the colonial inferiority complex to the motherland. (Unless you're British, in which case forget I said anything)
Anyway, American for my Qunari, British for everyone else probably.

I generally prefer American accents, of course I'll have to actually hear them to know for sure, but it's more likely I'll prefer the American one.
