I know there's several here who'd love to see this so here goes.

GaW Lockdown DLC

Basically Galaxy at War locked at 100% across all fields of battle over the entire galaxy

-- Reasoning behind it.

I like probably many people here am a parent of a small child which any parent will tell you severely limits game time, I would deeply enjoy it if my readiness rating never fell from 100% which I have obtained on a few occasions between PC & 360 prior to having a child.

For those of us with limited game time that knock out a mission or two here & there rarely get the chance to fire up an uninterrupted Multiplayer match, let alone several to take us from 50% to 100%

This would position the multiplayer as a cool diversion & not a requirement to get a certain level of ending, which would also help the load on the MP servers filtering out those who love the MP content & those who are just grinding it for a better ending in ME3.

Any chance you can show us some love & push this out?

Actually, there's no need to raise the galactic readiness since the EC was released.

Bioware is done with DLC for ME3, they're focusing on DA:I and the next ME game.

Agreed that the War Readiness was/is nonsense... especially for those of us with lives.  And it would be nice if it just updated to 100% now, even though it's technically not necessary (though, do you need to have all DLC to get the necessary war points?)

I have a 6yr old and a 3yr old, so I know your pain about gaming time.  I actually haven't played any video games at all since I played thru ME:3 a second time after all the DLC came out.... I don't even really want to anymore, except for a very few titles that come out per year.

*check that... I did get Last of Us as a gift late last year.  So I did play that.  So between March-Dec 2013 I played ME3 and Last of Us.  Then nothing since.

I bet everyone is stoked to know my (video game related) life story now.  ;)

The problem with permanently setting GaW to 100% is that it makes the sub-optimal game endings very difficult, if not impossible to achieve (especially for those who promoted in mp). I had to stop playing mp for a couple of weeks in order to 'achieve' the more disastrous destroy ending. It's already possible to achieve the optimal outcomes with GaW at 50% and no other dlc than the EC.

Still, I can sympathise since the search and rescue missions are quite dull and take time away from some of the juicier campaign missions if you're on a limited schedule. Ideally, I'd like to be able to raise or lower GaW at will so as to have better control over what ending I want to experience, without having to plan out in advance what parts of the game I will/won't be able to complete.

BioWare said that Citadel was the last DLC. I agree the MP requirement for galactic readiness was annoying and shouldn't have been there to begin with. The free Extended Cut DLC fixes this though. Galactic readiness stays at 50% which means progressing through the missions and side missions in single-player is more than enough to get the best outcome and multiplayer is no longer required.

I'm confused. You don't need to play MP at all for the best outcomes.

lame DLC idea and a total waste of dev time, when there's so much more in need of improvement.

You don't even need MP to raise the readiness from 50% - you can just use the GaW webpage.

With all the DLCs and the Extended Cut, you can reach 3100 (minimum for all the best outcomes) without playing MP at all.

It was before the Extended Cut DLC was released. The EMS requirement was beyond what the player could achieve in single-player alone meaning they could only get some of the outcomes. With the Extended Cut DLC the EMS limit is 3100 which is more than enough even if you don't raise galactic readiness above 50%. This is the way it should have been to begin with.

Been a while since I checked back in, sorry about that all.

I see a LOT of you saying buy the DLC & all is good, but there's something you don't under stand...

PAY TO WIN BLOWS!  There's enough of that going around in social games but requiring a game that's mostly single player to buy thousands of Bioware/EA points to purchase DLC to see the proper ending is a spit to the face of the loyal customers of the series.

Yes I'll buy DLC if it's good content, but I refuse to buy content to get the perfect ending in anything, which is almost as bad as buying Day 1 DLC which the lion share of is included on disk.

@B.R.S -- what development time?  it'd be a small patch, or even as simple as terminating a single process on the server side that depreciates the value of your GaW Readiness so any points you put towards GaW via the website/multiplayer/etc never goes down so once you hit 100% you're locked in.

You seem to be missing the point: the only dlc needed to obtain the 'optimum' outcome (the breath scene) is the Extended Cut, which is absolutely free. A patch that comes as part of the EC lowers the ems boundary for the best outcome to something like 3100, which is completely achievable with no other added content and a galaxy at war score of 50% (as low as it goes).

Other than that, it's simply up to you to do a fairly thorough play through.

You can go to http://social.biowar.../galaxy_at_war/ and run two one hour missions a day in each sector. That will boost your Readiness and keep you at 100% when you get there.

Perhaps the DLC or patch, if it ever were released, could provide the option of what you wanted your Readiness set at. That way you'd be able to still get the low EMS endings if you wanted them.

VoteDC after thinking about it, probably a small patch would be the best allowing for it to be configured in the gameplay options.

Pressedcat one thing bad with having to DL the extended cut "I have it but hear me out" For those playing in areas with limited/no broadband connectivity where some users actually have to use their cell phone data plan which sadly is far to great of a % for the USA 1.8-2GB to download the extended cut DLC could be the entirety of their allowed data usage on their carrier or even going over their monthly limit.

I love the Extended Cut and couldn't play ME3 without it now. But yes I agree, the size is off putting for some, even here in the UK some ISPs have a 2gb a month limit.

This is why despite owning the trilogy on 360, PS3 and PC, if EA released a complete edition with all DLC on disc I would bite their hands off for it.
