I'm pretty sure the women the Darkspawn capture are fed Darkspawn flesh until they become Broodmothers. That's what that creepy monologue in the Deep Roads suggested anyhow...

In the Anvil Quest Hespith says the women were feed Branka's House.  Darkspawn feed on any race.  This does not explain how broodmothers becomes pregnant in the first place.  It was hinted strongly this is a violation of the woman from all races.  They are violated then feed flesh to nurture them.  Hespith also says this is why they need and hate humans.  Darkspawn are also made by wardens going on their calling.  As a warden on your calling you turn into a Darkspawn and this is the only reason I can see the Inquisitor attacking the wardens.

 

This must be why the Qunari protect their women at all cost.

I take everything Bioware says about a game and it's lore with a grain of salt after DA2 and ME3, i'm not going to dig up the quotes but they have had contradictory statements to how the ME3 ending wasn't going to be a choice of ABC and look how that ultimately transpired

 

It's looking indisputable that the Inquisitor has some power that isn't normal and just being the Inquisitor isn't just a title and potion

David Gaider is pretty reliable as far as not being disingenuous about how big an effect choices will have in the future.  He's pretty open that there are limits as to how much it can effect.

It might just be what happens to female ghouls once they're far enough along and haven't died.

The point of The Calling is to die, not to survive and become a Darkspawn. And Corypheus has infiltrated the Grey Wardens so there is a better reason for the Inquisition to attack them...

There's nothing wrong with that.

 

And how can we say he isn't the OGB?  Just because you're not playing the OGB doesn't mean he can't.  As long as he can make it make sense in his own mind, it's a viable playstyle.

Viable up to the point where the actual OGB shows up, anyway. But I suppose he can get around that by always using a US start and fantasizing that there's an OGB even though everybody knows that's nonsense.

You did notice that the thread isn't "I want to pretend that the Inquisitor is the OGB," right? The OP's making a truth claim here. If he wants to claim that this nonsense is true, he doesn't get to claim it's just a playstyle preference too.

And again, it's not viable if the actual OGB shows up. Although I suppose he'll find a way to pretend that it isn't the real OGB. He'll have to claim that Morrigan's telling a lot of lies anyway, so a few more won't matter.

Nope, there is no OGB in my Canon save series, so it is impossible for the protagonist to be the OGB.

Yes, that is what most wardens think before their calling arrives but in the book "The Calling" the Warden Commander of Orlais who went on his calling is captured by the Architect and during his captivity he begins to turn into a darkspawn. I think this warden commander's name was Bergen and you get to buy his helmet at camp depending on what version of Origins that you have.  Same thing with Lyrius in the Legacy. 

 

Point being you go on your calling to die and you might get lucky and darkspawn do kill you.  It depends how far gone with the calling that you are.  There is a point where the song and other darkspawn won't attack you because you've started the process of becoming a darkspawn.
