Just cause they Made the game Larger, doesn't make the game necessarily bigger in terms of length. This could or maybe also in fact shortened the Length of Inquisition.

I am saying that maybe cause of so much content in Inquisition & the game being Bigger than Origins this could also effect the over-all length of Inquisition.

I am saying the game will probably clock in around 25 Hrs. Most Bioware games are about 40hrs with Dragon Age + DLC Content I clocked in about 35 Hrs with DLC Content installed.

I'd imagine that if you rush through the main quest it will take 10-20 hours maximum but if you run around exploring everything it will be much, much longer than any of the previous games.

The game will easily be 40+ Unless you are actually rushing through.

I'm more worried if there's any sort of time limit on how long you can spend on the game...like, if you spend too much time exploring caves, Mr. Big Bad will destroy the world while you're looting treasure chests.

But I think in one of the interviews I saw, they're planning on keeping the world open for you to continue running around and doing stuff after the story ends. Which would be cool, I've always hated not being able to do that in the other DA games...

You mean 25 hours with all main and secondary quests? Really?

Nah.

Nahhhhhh.

At least 30-40. Like Bioware tends to do. Minimum. (when playing 'normally' and not speed running it)

It took me 60+ hours to beat Origins on my first playthrough. DA2 is was about 30.

I take my time and try to do all the side quests as possible before tackling the main story. I don't get people who buy RPGs and just want to rush and ignore every other aspect.

Lots of people just want the main story experience + focus on combat.

I don't really get it, but that's what they want. Sidequests are just fluff. Secondary quests are actually seen as optional.. *GASP*. It's a sad life being a speed gaming RPG player. Sad.

EDIT: I know its more TPS, but SO MANY just rushed through ME3 and picked Vaporize or Low Destroy (maybe Low Control) at the end. Ahh! :(

As long as it's above the new industry standard of four hours I'm happy.

I hope it's 40+ hours min. After all this waiting and hype, last thing I want is for it to be all over in a day!

I really don't think it's going to be 25ish hours. My latest playthrough of Origins was 50. Factor in Awakening + all the dlc and that booted it up to 60. Dragon Age 2 with all the dlc played and side quests done took me 45 hours. If a game as confined as 2 can take me 45 hours to do EVERYTHING, I'm really not worried about Inquisition being a short game. I don't want to throw out a number that I'm expecting because my expectations might be viewed as unrealistic, but I don't think length is going to be a problem.

Plus there's the replay value of having four races and three classes to play. If the content changes as much as they say it does based on race/class in addition to the big choices, I think we'll get many hours out of this game.

Given the open world stuff, i'd expect it to have a shorter critical path but a longer completionist time than previous games

25 hours is shockingly short.  I spent 89 hours on just my first playthrough of DAO.

I'm actually talking in general. And your role-playing is next level compared to normal RPG playing folk, of course you put in 89 hours.

well, isn't that clever. do you have an equation that allows you to divine gameplay hours? i wouldn't mind seeing your equation. don't worry about complexity. i am no math wiz, but i did stay at a holiday inn express last night.

you observed that more content doesn't necessarily lead to a longer game. fine. i will concede the possibility. did you know that people can finish fallout in less than 15 minutes? nevertheless, to assume that because da:i has more content that it will be shorter, and to be able to come up with a hard number on hours of gameplay, is mind-boggling.

Anything can happen. I see no reason to assume the game is somehow shorter in length than previous games just because the world is bigger. It is not as if quest designers are also creating the world itself.

Origin had a bigger world than DA2 and yet the actual length of the game was also longer overall.

I believe the game is going to be quite long, at least for those who play normally.  There are always those who love to rush through a game as quickly as possible and then complain that it was too short, and I hope that there's a penalty for people who rush through the game, like there was in ME2, you get a bad ending.  For those of us who play through at a normal place, explore, do most/all of the side quests, basically enjoy the game as it should be and was meant to be enjoyed, I expect it will be the longest DA game so far, and the best.

I'm not worried, I don't want to speculate on length though, I have a feeling that the critical path will be about as long as standard Bioware games, which is about 25 hours. But the new approach to world-building (Lots of exploration/larger areas) means that the non-critical path time could vary wildly depending on a lot of factors. Combat difficulty, Class composition, thoroughness of exploration, if you travel with a mount or not, skipping dialog... The list is quite long

I don't anticipate being disappointed though, I'd say a "Full Clear" (Baring lockout content) will take around 100hours.

I am also worried about the game being on a Time-Limit deal such as would there be a Time-Limit example

Should I save Villiage A or should I destroy Village B then you would be on a Count Down timer & you have to make a choice between the to if not then you will be given a Negative deal for failing to choose between the 2 choices.

I am also curious about the Keeps, Being Espionage, Military, Commerce & Trade I also heard you will get resources from these Keeps.

Secondly I am curious about the 2 New Factions The Red Templars & The Venatori.

I have also seen 2 Big Bosses Being the Nightmare & the other is called The Behemoth I think Nightmare was like a Gigantic Huge Spider deal.

I also seen a New Type of Golem Monster, Not Stone I seen a Previous Art Case for Inquisition this showed Morrigan & behind Morrigan was a Huge Clay Monster Type of deal Morrigan was looking very evil in the Background.

Remember Bioware said Inquisition will have many new Enemies. in Inquisition. I also know in Inquisition you will be going to some sort of Forest, Mountains, & Desert Locations I seen many locations such as Huge Caves & Crumbles of Past Civilizations.

Inquisition is looking OMG, This game will look sick on my Cloud HDTV being a 60 Inch using HDMI.

Paid off Inquisition already getting it on my PS3 & I got the Deluxe Version costed me about 80 bucks.

Hopefully the game is at least 60+ hours. I would be disappointed if it was 25, especially considering how long DA:O was the first time I played it complete with all side quests and whatnot, I clocked in 110 hours easy. I expect no less from Inquisition.

I would like to spend at least 40-50 hours in a regular playthrough of DA:I.

I don't really mind whether it's shorter, longer, or the same.  Shorter game = faster finish = more playthroughs!  Either way I'm sure DAI will eat up at least a few hundred hours of my time.  Probably more.

I'm sure I'll pad my playthrough's time exploring as much dialogue as well as the environments as I can, like I did in DA:O and even 2, though 2 had less opportunities to meander about to find something else to do.

I think they just confirmed it'll be around 50 hrs if you stick to plot related quests and over a hundred if you do all side quests
