I'm gonna have to go to bed now, but thanks for all the replies everyone.

I'll leave anyone still interested with this:

How many of the companions do you think we'll be able to kill off? In the previous DA games you could get alot of the companions killed one way or the other.

Any of the companions who is absolutely safe? Give me your thoughts :)

I have a feeling that a certain someone will die. But I'm not gonna say.

So I'd say Justinia and Celene are in great danger.

Isn't Celene only in her 30's?

On a separate note, I'm pretty sure that the same article in which the variety of sexualities approach was announced also announced that the summit at the beginning of the game will be between the mage and templar factions and that both of the leaders (with, I'm assuming many other named characters who are related to these factions) will be killed.  So I'm assuming that this means that Justinia and whoever is heading up the mages are going to be toast.  Although I haven't read Asunder or the newest books, so I'm not sure who that would be exactly.

I have thought about this for awhile. If they do decide to kill off companion characters in DAI it would have to be done correctly. The character would have to be first presented with either an illness (ME2-Thane) or have it fit into the personality of the character. If they just started randomly killing off companions due to no real choice of our own without a good logical explanation, that is when I can see it causing serious problems. As much as I would like the world state of DAI to reflect on all my choices I would not be terribly upset if I could not save someone from dying for making a choice that fits their character.

Perhaps I'm reading too much into this Polygon article, but the quotation from Mr. Laidlaw sounds like both Gaspard and Celene will have met their Maker by the time you encounter Cassandra.

I have this feeling Anders (if not already dead) will die in the beginning of the game. Not even sure why, but I do...

If Anders dies, it should either be whilst attempting to restore the peace, attempting to redeem himself, or in a failed attempt to purge Justice from him (for real this time). Freeing him from Justice was something I really wanted to do in DA2 and it'd be good to actually be able to do it this time around.

@roram

i dont take anything away from that article, half of it is speculation plus its already been announced that the conference will be between the mages and chantry...  not celene and gaspard

I'm sure if they make one companion bound to die it will make sense.

And i'm also quite sure there's possibilities to lose some of your companions like in the previous DA games.

They won't let us kill Cullen? I have to kind of disagree with that. Of course i don't know if he can die, but i'd assume atleast some of the important people will be able to.

Like based on our actions. Just like the previous DA games.

I'm planning on romancing Cassandra as well, if she dies i'll be sad :(

The grey warden seems pretty old too. If he doesn't die in battle, he might go to his calling at some point during the game?

I'd like to see that happen, (The Grey Warden hearing the call of the deep) For that emotional talk, the option of throwing him a farewell feast. Then seeing him enter the deep roads. loads of potential there.

That would be a nice emotional moment indeed. I'd like to see that as well.
