It is! First they took away a Warrior's ability to carry more stuff (fixed shared inventory WTH!). Then they took away ranged weapons and dual wielding! Next they'll be taking away Heavy Armor! And rogues won't even give up lockpicking! Warriors need to go on strike until this nerfing stops!

Actually, I bet they will take away light armour. With warriors only being able to wear heavy armour.

I would be pretty happy if it was just a crossbow that did consistently ok-ish damage, with just a basic auto attacks, then you would at least have some use at range, but I think that is why they have added the chain mechanic where warriors drag enemies over to them, to remove the need for ranged weapons.

I'm fine with bows staying on rogues.. It's good to set them apart.

What I really wish is for Warriors to get duel weapons back.. as in two swords while rogues keep two faster daggers with a different move set. I know it's a whole other move pool and everything but it would add a lot to Warriors while still making rogues very different.

It just seems like there are always so many Warriors everywhere and you get the feeling of what's the point choosing a Warrior when we already have three Warriors (Cass, Iron Bull and GW) and basically only two different styles. Maybe I'm missing something but there doesn't seem to be that many ways for a warrior to be built. To me, mages and rogues have a few more options.

I doubt it, there is too much talk of class restricted weapons. Mages with the Knight Enchanter spec can apparently wield blades of arcane force, which sounds like summoned weapons to me. Maybe other specializations allow similar weapon workarounds for the other classes. Companions can use any weapon type within their class...mostly. Apparently Varric will still be limited to Bianca, or at least to only archery. http://ap.ign.com/en...rce=twitterfeed

That article lies. Varric can't wield other bows but he can wield daggers.

I'd say and with good reason, if a warrior gets a bow i demand mages get goddamned lockpicking spells!

A warrior could kick a rogues or mages butt any time, and in fact have done so countless times throughout thedas's history. Ranged weapon or not.

If we are waxing nostalgic... I remember when RPGs were hardwired to make classes really different and unique.  Like, for instance, clerics not being able to use swords in BG and BGII.  This I thought made party balance, tactics and the characters themselves unique and made for challenging decisions (like, do I take the rogue or the mage with me? ).  I miss that.

So who's memory is better?

Edited to add:  That being said, I do believe that warriors should have a ranged option (even a return of the sling!).  But the idea that RPGs have always allowed people to do whatever they want is not how I remember it at all.

I didn't say do whatever they want. I said to have many options as well restrictions.  Which would allow me to make my warrior a ranged warrior and my cleric a character that could use close ranged weapons if wanted.  Maybe I played too much AD&D second edition as a youth.  You could make your fighter a ranged fighter but it took a lot to branch into rogue territory and heaven help you if you wanted to go into being a Bard.  Final Fantasy 6 had weapon restrictions but characters could use more than just one weapon type. Dragon Quest 7 allowed me to make each character their own.
