I want this hairstyle for my female dwarf (or any race really) or at least something very similar! I mean look how long the hair is and the braids, It's EPIC! The picture is by Wildweasel1339  on  deviantart.com 

 

That is beautiful!  And that was even before I scrolled down and saw how far down that ponytail went!  That does it!  I am gonna play fem dwarf and there better be a mod with that hair (cuz I am pretty sure that ponytail would be cliptastic and impossible to have in the actual game).

My character is uniquely mine so using hair styles that are over used on npc doesn't seem to make my character stand out, yes there are some styles i would of liked to use like ashleys, jack(mass effect) I did like male hawke(his being the only male style I liked) but while I'm playing as femshep now the stock hair style for her looks best the rest was every where in game so few selection made the npc look the same, "oh wait haven't I met you before" the only difference was color...lol that was worse even fewer colors to select from I can make armor blue but not my hair wtf bioware!

I'm curious what the employees at bioware think about the hair they put in game, I'm sure some of them are pissed over the lack of selection like they ran out of time or some styles they came up with where declined. If anyone knows of the ppl that did the hair for da2 and me3 send them to this thread I would greatly appropriate it.

More diverse and beautiful hairstyles are quite high on my wish list for Inquisition. Fingers crossed that they'll show off some of the new stuff once the CC is finished.

I'm not sure if this has been stated but I'm suggesting unique hair styles, styles that set them apart from the npc's. I've seen people mod there characters with amazing hair and there face where what id try with the customize option but couldn't do BUT those where all done and for the pc game . I have the xbox and can't get those mods so what styles r there in game from what I seen oin the DA series and ME where all short hair mother specail but ugly, will we see long hair something we would actually wan't not just something we were stuck with like in the other bioware games
Console gamers would like the option for cool styles

Agree with you, and besides the idea of ​​having unique hair styles I also agree with the suggestions greater variety of hair too 

In dragon age 2 I liked the original Hawke hair style ... better than some hairstyles for Dragon Age Origins

I liked both the hawkes styles liked femshaps but maleshep I think I seen it in game on npc too. I can live with less unique styles for the pc if there where more styles overall, I've recently been playing femshep for me3 I think there where like 6 or less hairstyles for her (i think maleshep had same amount) but that's not enough if your creating a world with just those 6 styles to choose from in both genders

The most important thing for me is whether all the logical hairstyles will be animated, because I will not consider this game "next-gen" if it does not break out of the norm of having static hair. With the tech they have now, they should be able to accomplish this feat; well I should say depends on how many animators they have and the amount of bandwidth they can spare for this. Hard to say. With the coming of these newer consoles comes the expectation that they will go the extra level to add little details their previous games did not have to make the experience more immersive.

I understand the clipping issue with longer hair, but how about some braids? Come on BW, you know you want to.

 

 

 

Much better than braids that don't serve a purpose, other than decorative. These are used to keep hair out of their faces. Imagine that!

I'm not sure why the hair can't move a little.  Back when I played KOTOR my Revan had a pony tail and it moved back and forth as she moved.  I admit to taking control of one of the other characters just so i could watch it.  I was easily amazed.
