It was recently revealed through twitter that the placement of characters around the table form the new trailer COULD reveal something about events that will take place in the game/characters' personalities.

(Done by seat placement, or footing)

For those who know about the disciples, what did each one do? Discuss how they may resemble the characters and how that might give new light to future events in the games.

Solas...betrays the Inquisition? If this turns out to be true, this would be quite an amazing theory.

Well, personally I would like it more if there was a good reason.  You don't help the elves doing something and he betrays you, Help them and he doesn't betray you.

Not real crazy about the whole "last supper" idea, but I'll hold most :D  of my judgement till I see what happens.

Matthew-A Jew who worked for the Romans as a tax collector. To the Jewish people he was considered a traitor because they rejected Rome's rule over Israel. They were also known for ripping the people off since any amount they took over the limit the Romans asked for was their salary.

Simon, a Zealot. These were activist like people. They demanded action. His personality was one that would see the overthrow of the Roman Empire so that Israel could become a nation once more.

Peter suffered from foot in mouth disease. A loveable fisherman, he was always zealous for Jesus but was extremely flawed and very aware of his own failings.

John was the discple whom Jesus loved. He wasn't being prideful. The statement means he was shocked that Jesus loved him. His brother James and him were known as the sons of thunder. They came from a rich family and had well known tempers. He would later become the apostle of love.

Judas was the money changer who was taking money out of the pot when no one was looking. He later betrayed Jesus and committed suicide.

Andrew was Peter's older brother who was put into the background as Peter was put into the spotlight. However, he is known for always bringing people to Jesus.

Phillip was always very logical and would attempt to use his own reason and intellect to figure out situations.

Thomas is known for being a doubter who ultmately became a believer once he saw proof of Jeus' deity.

Jesus is God who came to die for the sins of the entire human race.

Not much is known about the others except that all of them, save John, were martyed for their faith. They tried to boil John in oil but when that didn't work he was banished to an island where he wrote the epistles 1 John -3 John and the book of Revelation. This was during the rule of Cesar Nero, the crazy man who burnt Rome to the ground. Literally.

1. Does that mean the Inquisitor dies and comes back to life, and ascends to the Golden City?
2. Or Cole denies 3 times of ever being allies with the Inquisitor, but no one else but the Inquisitor can see or hear him so it doesn't matter.
3. Cassandra predicts the end of the world, the coming of the "anti-Inquisitor", and the second coming of the Inquisitor?
4. Solas betrays the Inquisitor and kills himself.
5. Cassandra and Iron Bull are siblings

Ah, well I think it's just a coincidence that it somewhat looks like the Last Supper painting. They probably made it exactly like that so we'd have something to talk about so we don't harass them about romance info. Ahahaha

To add to my earlier post, these men had very, very conflicting personalities, ideologies, and beliefs. Jesus brought them together to mend their thinking into his own way. Maybe that will give you some insight into what they are going for in DAI.

Comparing every character to every disciple might be over thinking it, it may be as simple as the inquisitor sacrificing himself in the end to close the final tear

That would be my thought. However, he asked for some background.

That seems too easy. I certainly hope that isn't the case.

Who said it was supposed to be complicated?

I hope not. That would pretty much be a repeat of Origins' ending or worse the ending of ME 3.

Maybe because there is no puzzle?

If there is a meaning, I'm going with batman's post about the Inquisitor bringing together people who have different, maybe even conflicting, views and beliefs. The last line of the new trailer points to this direction.

Or that you died and were resurrected at the start of the game. Because you're really a meatsuit for a spirit.

No one. However, if it was as simple as that, I'd feel it'd cheapen the story for me, since that was the first thought that popped into my head upon seeing the similarities. So if an ending for the inquisitor is so easily guessed I think I'd be disappointed.

Maybe because there is no puzzle?

There is a post game so I doubt that the Inquisitor is going to die in the end.

<sigh>  and this is gets added to my biggest fear about DA:I.  Not that the inquisitor sacrifices herself in one ending, but that it's done in all endings.  Actually the rest of the idea could be interesting.

Good point.

Varric, rather than Solas, is posed like Judas.
