Seeing as the Inquisition has been (re)established, how long do you see this order lasting? The length of the game (I'm guessing a couple years on this)? 10 years? 100? 1000?
How long do you see the Inquisition lasting?

Until the Veil tears and everything has been settled down and the Chantry gains power again. After that, it'll probably try to get the Inqusition under its rule so they have the upper hand.

Not long at all. This is Thedas, remember?
A land filled with bigots, liars, and opportunistic c*nts who would sooner murder their own mother than be reasonable.

Once the Breach is closed, the Inquisition bureaucracy will scramble to adapt to the new political environment.
It will last as long as it can force itself into international issues.

If it lasts any longer than 4 hours they should call a Spirit Healer.

I guess it depends on whether or not there's someone to take over once the PC inevitably disappears mysteriously.

I see it lasting indefinitely. The Inquisition is in a prime spot to set itself up as a new, independent faction much like the Grey Wardens, except they focus on Fade issues rather than Darkspawn ones.

I think it will last only so long as there is an external threat. Once that external threat has been removed, the factions that joined forces to make up the Inquisition will probably find new things to squabble with each other about.

Chances are the Inquisition will BE the new political environment.

The Inquisition will go mad with power and have to be destroyed by the protagonist of Dragon Age 4.

The Inquisition will become the tax collectors of Thedas.

Well - after I close the Breach... I'm going to have a Qunari invasion on my hands, and once I put the cows and bulls back to pasture... there's Tevinter, cause you know those people did "something" during the Breach to **** everyone else.
Then I'll hunt down the last Old Gods, kill them before those darkspawn douches pervert them, making the Wardens irrellevant.
Then I'll use my Qunari, darkspawn, Tevinter and Warden slaves to give the Black City a good scrub down until it's nice and golden again.
So - I'm thinking - a while.

Possibly, but the Chantry and the various national governments will definitely oppose the Inquisition's intervention into situations post-Breach.
Unless it becomes apolitical, like the Grey Wardens claim to be.

The Inquisition might well survive for equally as long, even if it changes dramatically between the Dragon Age and a more 'modern' Thedas. Or it could be destroyed. You never know.
But I think that the organization's earlier history is instructive. Apparently, an Inquisition existed a long time ago, and was disbanded or fell into abeyance. Cassandra and the Inquisitor are resurrecting it. Its name, its cachet, its symbols, and its goals seem to remain viable tentpoles around which one can build an organization. So even if this incarnation of the Inquisition is eventually destroyed, who's to say it won't be resurrected under somebody else's aegis?

Your Inquisitor will be mysteriously disappearing five seconds after the credits roll.

very likely that will happen again I'm also betting on at least one ending were the protagonist has to fall on his/her sword for all the worlds sins to save the day
as for the inquisition I doubt it will stay that long or should it I doubt it will keep resembling the organisation you built
