We know that the Inquisitor has the power to close the tears that are allowing the Fade to bleed into our world but am I the only one that hopes this connection to the Fade has more broad abilities than simply closing doors? We know that what makes someone a mage is their ability to connect to the Fade so could the Inquisitor possible cut that connection off and turn them into a normal person without making them tranquil? Could the Inquisitor cure a tranquil person by opening the connection to the Fade for that person again. Or even make a mundane into a mage by forcing them to have a connection? Imagine the massive shift in politics if the Inquisitor started turning Templar leaders, the Divine, even Qunari into mages.

But the most entertaining idea is if the Inquisitor can do more than close the tears in the Fade but make them instead. He or she would basically be a walking WMD with the ability to unleash doom on a local area.

So do you think that the Inquisitor's powers will be more broad than simply being able to close the tears and if so how do you think such a power could be used?

Maybe the Inquisier's new abilities will give him some form of teleportation?

"Now you're thinking with Fade Tears!"

Electricity trick? Sorry, it was the first thing, that came to my mind.

Doubtful.

If it was any kind of canonical ability, it would just about make any kind of hostile cutscene impossible.

What Im curious about is if they can close these rifts, and such; Would it be considerd a form of magic even if he or she is not a mage in a perticular playthrough.

It's not exactly a normal magic talent.

It's a granted ability from some other source.

What source is that? I know not, for we are all mired in ignorance.

That would take all the messiah vibes that are rolling from the Inquisitor and multiply them by 2093435345 to the fifth power.
