I have blocked a lot of posters. Back when this forum was new and the weekends were full of spammers, I blocked every sports tout I came across. Those folks are likely banned now so all that effort was probably wasted, but still...

I haven't blocked anyone in my time on BSN thus far. Usually if I detect trolling I just ignore them the old fashioned way by not responding. Generally I try to be civil and/or objective so as to get along, and I don't post if I'm feeling irritable.

She blocked me too a long time ago in the old forum. But I redeemed myself... somehow. I wasn't quite sure what I did wrong in the first place, so I don't know how I redeemed myself.

 

That said, I have been blocked by a great many posters. Mostly uptight SJWs, but a few were for my legit shenanigans.

 

I blocked Jarrett Lee for a while after the ME3 debacle and I blocked Brian Mills to make my forum guide.  I very rarely block posters. It's a forum, not your private little hamster ball.

They were shilling for various websites that showed various sporting events. Generally soccer (a/k/a football), but also cricket, ice hockey and rugby.

Nope, its a completely unnecessary feature for me because as a properly working human I was born with my very own ignore system.

I did it cause I know I'd argue with them pointless for pages and pages and oddly despite me not minding doing this with everyone else I just can't be bothered.
