Gamestop Has a policy of not taking C omputer games, unless you're gonna tell them you didn't see the minimum requirements before you got home your chances are slim you'll most likely end up with 2 copies in the end.

Yes if you get a code that has not been used, there's no reason you couldnt get it. Every code works with every other code, they dont lock each other out.

I thought their policy was not taking back OPENED copies of PC games. I think the item codes are on flyers they hand you, no?

yeah it possible to use the code and send it back, because the code is emailed too you, but to me its morally wrong, but hey thats just me

It's a shame there's no conceivable way to get that gun if you order via Steam (other than scamming Gamestop or Ebay). I'd probably enjoy it, oh well.

Exclusive DLC bonuses that don't become freebies later = stupid and annoying.

On the whole "can I change my pre-order to a CE copy" thing I'm saying no. Why? Because I pre-ordered in Nov and wanted to pre-order the CE copy and was told it wasn't in the system yet at Gamestop. Proceeded to go there every other week to see if it was in so I could change my order and as of last week its still a no go. Then again its Gamestop so it could just be the brilliant minds running the one by me instead, lol.

Every Gamestop I called near me won't give the Terminus card out until you actually pick up the game on release day. So if you're thinking you can walk in, pay $5 to pre-order, get your code on the spot, then never come back... well... I guess your mileage may vary.

youd have to open it, that means no refunds, only refund for another mass effect 2.

Well usually the codes are just a small piece of paper, so no need to to worry about having to open it, and also the codes online are sent to you via e-mail, not sure if you do store pickup onlne pre-order or not, but either way they send you codes in ways that doesn't make you have to open it.

Oh come on, they should make the pre-order stuff available to purchase as DLC. Or release them free on cerberus network in 3 months... Especially since all of them are so unique and you can't just pre-orders multiple copies from different stores to get all the good stuff...



For dragon age, it was fine that we couldn't get the pre-order items via DLC because they were just additional items among gazillions of items. You know, just a pendant with different stats. But with ME2, there's very few weapons and armour and they all feel unique, so that one more weapon is worth purchasing via DLC. I know I would.



Your best marketing move would be to give out the pre-order stuff in a package (for free) and make the release coincide with a large paid content DLC. That way, you'll make ppl regain interest in the game, they'll love you for releasing the new weapons and armour, and they'll be more than willing to pay big bucks for the new content DLC.

I agree. EA is horrible with the pre-order exclusive bonuses. If the stuff weren't permanently impossible to get after release then that would be fine, but ever since EA started doing this pre-order bonus nonsense I have countless games from them that I am unable to obtain everything for just because I neglected or forgot to pre-order. There is literally no other way to get them as all codes from EA are unique, and all bonuses are never made available or mentioned again.

I'm a pretty big stickler for things like that. I won't even buy Dragon Age right now until I'm certain I'll be able to find a way to get all the pre-order and collector's edition items. Right now it doesn't look like that's ever going to happen.

Just preordered me2 from gamestop. Hopefully this whole returning process will go as planned. I feel dirty, but not dirty enough to forgo a BLACK HOLE GUN.

I kind of wish I could get the Terminus Assault Armor/Black Hole Gun, myself. I don't mind Pre-Order stuff, but I'd prefer if they were released later on via DLC. Let the people who Pre-Ordered have it right away, but let those who didn't be able to get it in game or something. It's just my completionist side. It looks really cool, but not cool enough to buy the game twice.

yeah you could its just you will get a tiny amout back for what you payed for it like halo odst people were buying it for the codes then taking the game back so the gameshops only have £5 or $10 for them

Meh. I'm just gonna pick up a copy from Gamestop, put in the terminus code and return the Gamestop copy untouched for a full refund.

i wasn't sure how they planned to distrubute i figured it would involve making sure your game is opened first, it might work i'd still say the chances are slim.

the thought of it being just a flier is disenchanting to say the least '~'

i mean if you pre order the game from gamestop your not really paying for the codes. they dont cost anything at all. the 5 bucks minimum you pay are just a minimum that they take off the price off the game. i paid for the whole game when i went to preorder it. so come monday at midnite i just walk in and pick up the game with the code. so really its free.
