Can't you just control people without lies?

But now ask yourself how what will make your peoples follow you is there something more loyal than fanatic?

You put yourself in a box though, because you will have to follow whatever you say yourself, or the fanatics will brand you a heretic.

Couldn't you just cry "divine revelation!" and reform the beliefs however you want, though? I guess it just depends on how easily manipulated the followers are.

So well what's the religion for? To do that you just have to be a powerful individual that nobody would dare to oppose.

Yep but that would require immense amount of personal power for example in anime i could put frieza who was strongest in the unvierse (well at least at his time) and could do whatever he wants because no one could even scratch him. If well you have to use another methods and as far such method would give you most freedom when in power besides what i told before.

So who's the current Chantry ''boss'' that enjoys all the fruits of complete freedom and power?

Well no one says that divine is in charge in fact she is puppet of current system as any other follower of it. In reality divine has little power and can only follow as she is expected to follow. If you created successful religion well you would have to make it more centred on you.

I can't understand why a puppet or someone with such little power would make such an impact on the Chantry's militant branches. I'd imagine they would just ignore her and continue on their daily routines, with her banner.

Hah she couldn't even admit her views because she is expected to be divine that is accepted by religion she wasn't in charge she was part of the system and she had to follow it.She tried to break it and see how that their militant branches left her and she was with nothing.

He asked who was chantry boss that enjoys total freedom and power i answered honestly there is no such boss because in fact even divine is just follower of ideas and rules that was established by creator of it so he was person in control rest just follow even after his death.

So The Maker is the boss then. They're following his doctrines.

He spoke through the Prophetess Andraste, whose beliefs her followers turned into the doctrines of the Chantry. Ergo, he is the boss.
