You got to admit, the veil and mages REALLY DO cause a lot of problems.

Of course so her eyes are burning...

nice defense like justice ;)

Greater means stronger there is no in fact any support in series that there is something like greater pride demon besides that codex entry which mean probably stronger pride demon as every demon have own power range.

What do you mean 'like justice'?

Doesn't change the fact we've never had a Greater Pride Demon in the lore show up. None are in the games, books, movie, etc.

Justice.jpg

We have few types of pride demons at least 1 normal (like uldred or most pride demons we face) and dark one (like baroness) second one is more powerful then

previous... so grater pride demon could be baroness...

He meant that glowing eyes are a sign of possession. Which is possible, but I don't think we've got proof one way or the other.

Greater sloth demons are black sloth demons. So if that holds across all types the Baroness would have been a Greater Pride demon.

She wasn't an earth shattering, great devourer world destroyer. A small party of Grey Wardens defeated her.

Yay, I had a more difficult time against an archdemon than a potential greater-pride-demon. That means we know that Darkspawn are the only real threat to the world, and so we can stop all this nonsense on mages being the great destroyers and send them to help destroy the darkspawn.

Yeah she was defeated by protagonist by that standarts there is nothing in thedas that is dangerous and abomnations are just puppets that can be killed on ease... pretty much the warden is chuck norris even 1 character in the end of daa admit its.

She can be defeated by a random Warden brought in from Orlais.

Which pretty much is also protagonist in fact little more than replacement for the warden... same warden from dao and that "new" warden can fight with army alone and win i went 2 times on alone pt and solo everything in the end you even get dialogue line something like "i got to that point alone so i will further " or at least something like that which is commented as "i have never meet someone like you".Also no matter what warden you play if you clean basements from darkspawn soldier will tell that she saw how great wardens fight but you are magnificent.Pretty much clear that you aren't normal warden or fighter... only chuck norris.

Well, we haven't met any Despair demons yet. And according to Gaider those really are supposed to be potential apocalypses. Of course, they're also apparently so rare and so difficult to bring into this world that even the Circles have no idea they exist. (To which the world possibly owes its continued existence, since otherwise it might not have lasted long enough for the PCs to be born.)

The ONLY reason that the Baroness was more powerful than other Pride Demons was because she was a higher level... Don't put too much into it.

Hold up, I thought the "GPDs" were the apocalypse bringers?

The Despair demons could of course be pretty powerful though at this time, cause Thedas will be ripe with despair due to the Veil crisis.

Agreed. I once heard some BS theory about her being stronger just cause she was a different color.

She was not only stronger in that she could also torn veil and summon creatures from it at will...

All higher (figuratively) level demons can do that. It is actually usually one of their MOs once they've crossed the Veil to bring more of their kind over.

Well every demon can summon another (at least starting from desire) demon but none of examples ever torn veil like connor or uldred were just using tortured mages so they agreed and connor never torn veil so demon could pass... in fact it was this demon who sent entire region to hell torning veil there and imprisoned peoples in the fade...

Then the demon is using the mage power to tear the Veil. Blackmarsh already has a thin one due to its past, so sacrificing The First plus the Baroness' magic was enough to send her and the Warden's party back. As for how she got the small village of Blackmarsh to the Fade, same basic thing. We know she's been dabbling in blood magic, so blood magic plus possessed by a Pride Demon plus a weakened Veil equals Blackmarsh citizens going to the Fade.

She used spell to send everyone to the fade and torn veil there...

Mage can't tear the veil well can by using magic but not at will at best mage can use blood magic to summon demon.Pretty much situation there was thanks to her.

Blood magic weakens the Veil. If an area's Veil is already weakened when something that weakens it more occurs, it can tear. Look at Warden Keep.

Besides, my point is the demon didn't do it itself but was able to do it by possessing the Baroness.

In Warden keep it was caused by circles that were summoning demons after it is removal veil was fixed.Sure blood magic torn veil but blood mage can't do that on wish blood mage can cause it by using blood magic even normal mages by using normal magic do that... that pride demon could torn veil at it wish he could even trap whole village in the fade.

Well and what that prove? pretty much another abomnation just more powerful...

In a different thread, or maybe earlier in this one, you argued that demons can't tear the Veil. But now you're saying they can?

normal demons (even pride demons or desire demons couldn't) they could only summon demons not torn (well they would cause it) veil that kind of pride demon could do that.
