Yeah yeah Javik and Liara doesn't make sense... at first.
Taken to:
1)Mostly Paragon story, where it is implied by the end of things that Javik may outright work together on Liara on a literary project (why would he do that if he hates her?.
2)Some fantasy about where #1 leads.
3)Asari being Asari, and even Prothians admired them/their potential despite Javik's more current disappointments regarding them.
Yeah. It could happen. Really.
Just that (hypothetical - I don't know if it exists) fanfiction about it happening on the Normandy... ehh no. Not even close. He goes from disliking her, to tolerating her, to accepting her, to considering doing a possibly intimate project together.
On Liara's level, she's stunned and crushed at first, then angry, and then (again Paragon Story) reconciles and seeks to understand Javik and the Prothians as they are instead of what she imagined them to be. (and same with him on the other end towards the Asari)
They can be comrades and technically friends by the end, so yeah, I can see it becoming more... POST ME3. Not ME3. Not Citadel DLC.
