I have owned ME3 (on disk) since within 6 months of launch but have not as yet installed it (ever) due to my power machine being out of action. I now have a PC that is capable of running it. My only drawback is that I am not on unlimited broadband, being instead on a 10 gig a month plan. What I need to know is just how much patch will origin insist I download before it will let me play?

Thanks in advance.

Not much. I think less than 300 MB.

You don't have to download all the MP-DLC, but I highly recommend the free Extended Cut which is almost 2 GB.

Thanks for the reply. Even 2 gig doesn't seem too bad compared to "Fallout New Vegas (ultimate edition)" which comes in at 7.7 gig for a game that only occupies 9.3 gig of hd.

The DLC will be the killer; I suggest you space it out (if you buy it).

Yeah, patch content isn't too large, you should be fine there. Data killers will be the DLC, though if you don't intend to purchase such content you'll be saving a lot of bandwidth. All the free multiplayer content is optional and shouldn't download automatically. Extended Cut is also optional and free, and will request a couple of gigs to download, but if you're playing for the first time I advise you grab it.

Thanks so much for the replies guys. Having just spent a month (so I could do it either side of my allowance date) getting the patch for Fallout NV, I may well install ME3 this month now instead of having to wait until next. The extended cut (and any other dlc for that matter) will definitely have to wait though. Thanks again.
