Which makes me think about his unpopular declaration about tiny mini-skirts XD

Hmm, Miria from Claymore would also makes a pretty good leader. Already possess strong leadership capabilities, inspires confidence in subordinates, intelligent and can hold her own in a fight. Oh, forgot to add, she'd probably fit better into the world of Thedas compared to Lelouch and his more contemporary/mecha world that he comes from.

Her or Lelouch...decisions, decisions.

The mini skirt thing is a joke from the manga extras.  Canon!Mustang is a lot more sensible!

I'm also going to suggest Steve Rogers.  He's got the leadership to run the Inquisition, the strength to take on anyone in Thedas and strong morals.

For a historical character my vote would go to julius Caesar as well , not only a great battle commander but politician too, and he had the charisma to get people to follow him.

for fictional characters: Revan maybe , powerful warrior and leader and suggesting Luke is meh hehe.

Dhalinar Kholin from the stormlight archive as well.

One thing that always bothered me about the noble, chivalrous perfect Eddard Stark is that he did nothing when the Hound killed Micah (the butcher 's boy).if he had been that chivalrous he would have killed Clegane then or at least charged him with the crime. even if he was joffrey's sworn shield or whatever.

If i had to pick characters from GoT, it would be Tyrion i think. Tywin only cares about his legacy...he wouln't close a breach above Winterfell for example if he thought he could profit from the devastation...

It's one of my FMA peeves.  Hope I didn't come off as rude.  And if you're using IE that can be a bit funny about the quote function.  When you click on quote try opening it in a new tab, that works for me.

So it does!
Don't worry, you didn't come off as rude and I haven't watched either FMA series in awhile so it was still a fair point raise.

Daenerys Targaryen. I mean she shows a lot of strength yet has miles of compassion. She's beyond a doubt the best leader I've ever seen. I suppose that applies to real life as well, which is kind of pathetic haha.

Tbh, she's just a little kid playing at war with some fire-breathers to help her out. Terrible leader.

Take into consideration that not everyone has read the books so be a bit more specific when you put spoilers

Lessa from the Dragon Riders of Pern series (of course you would need Ramoth as well).  Survived the slaughter of her family and plotted revenge from childhood.

Bruenor Battlehammer - enough said.

Kieri Phelan - from Elizabeth Moon's "The Deed of Paksenarrion." Successful mercenary commander and more.   Paksenarrion wouldn't work - a paladin would have problems with the politics.

Sam Vimes - he was originally my first choice, but he has already been nominated.  And I usually don't like playing warriors.

Jarlaxle - great choice for a rogue with political skills, if you could keep his attention long enough.

And on a more entertaining note:

Death from Discworld.  He wouldn't understand anyone's problems but he would try to fix them.  And you could ride BInky.  Death of Rats would be a companion.

I'm pretty sure my first Inquisitor will be a girl dwarf Sam Vimes.

Edit: Reading back and seeing multiple Sam Vimes nominations. Faith in humanity=restored.

Second inquisitor will be a little more Billy Batson-esque...

And then third Inquisitor will be a little....

Fistfull of Dollars, and a lot of Yojimbo.

Yeah.

Yeah, I have to go with Dean Winchester, too. He's a master hunter of demons and monsters. He'll do what has to be done to save as many lives as possible. He's got a huge heart, a great sense of humor, and perfect aim. And he's a very skilled strategist/tactician.

Also, I love his taste in music.

Zaeed Massani: He seems like a bad enough dude to save the World

Nick Fury: The Inquisition is sort of a fledgling Medieval Shield anyway.

Edward "The Comedian" Blake: He's Smart enough to get the job, and has enough brutality to see it through.

Wonder Woman: Smart, Strong, and actually has Medieval Combat Experience

Vandal Savage: Because It would be fun to see.

I'm glad for my fellow anime fans to have such good taste in character.

So I'll assemble my team of people to lead the Inquisition to glory!

At the head we have no other thaaaaaaaan.....

Tywin_Lannister.jpg

Cold, pragmatic and politically apt for anything. He understands that ethics has no place when it comes to making decisions. If you must kill a million to save a billion then do it.

However... he inspires fear, there is hardly any loyalty.

That's why we haveeeeee....

She is not so idealistic as to throw away everything to save a friend, or to do things simply because it is morally right to do so. She would understand Tywin's pragmatism, respect it I bet. But she also has the balls to deny him when it is needed and could provide alternatives and compromises that the ruthless Tywin could not. Most of all, she understands men and unlike Tywin, men bow to her for respect.

Yet, both of these power houses would be too much, there needs to be an in-between, a force that makes them cooperate and that's where this sexy piece of manliness comes in.

Showcase.jpg

Roy F*CKING Mustang. Understands war and politics just enough to know how to make hard decisions, but unlike Olivia and Tywin he has a strong sense of justice and enough cunning and charisma to alter their ways ever so slightly. It is not enough to be feared or respected, you need to be loved.

Then again... Roy is rather hard-headed at times, especially when it comes to personal relationships, this is why we need a liar, and a man who could shoulder the world's burdens, blacken his heart and damn his soul if it meant the objective can be complete. A liar that could match the wits of all and still maintain enough of his humanity to never betray them unless it is necessary.

lelouch_vi_britannia_from_code_geass_by_

Need I say more?

Lelouch is pragmatic, inspires loyalty and love and will outright lie and manipulate the populace into believing the goals are for justice.

Still, the problem with this group is that they are just too great for each other, they won't trust another and it'll probably collapse since there will be no definite 'leader.'

So just for lolz, I'll add more characters in there...

In charge of financial affairs are...

And

gusfring.jpg

Leaders of the special forces...

vernon_roche_by_bannie88-d5m3etz.jpg

maxresdefault.jpg

General affairs manager...

L-Lawliet-l-17086588-635-472.jpg

BECAUSE EVERY TEAM NEEDS AN L.

The finally, the obligatory badass for any group...

Spike.Spiegel.full.161435.jpg

And to my Anime/Manga thread buddies...

A special, beautiful, eyebrow-sexy woman needs to be present at all times to just show how magnificent the group she belongs to is....
