I already know at least two concepts I want to make, one of them being a version of my characters in dragon age 2 (which were all basically the same character) a smarmy redheaded female assassin/warrior/mage (didn't really matter).

The other, which I'm more excited about is a pale, bald/balding, dark haired, elf (don't know if I can get more specific than that IE: dalish or city, if I can he'll be a city elf). he'll be a spymaster, (so many of the keeps will be spyhouses). Personality is dry, serious, he's about the greater good, but he's very much about ends justifying the means. Also he'll either be a mage or a rogue, given that the new mage knight enchanter can use dual swords I'm leaning toward mage right now (especially if shapeshifting is also back). Gonna name him something like Gremmr, or Dasil Bou.

Oooh, I have a list! *ahem*

Reynardine Trevelyan, female human rogue, dual wielder, 20 years old. Brown eyes, light brown skin, auburn, curly hair. Wily, snarky, swashbuckling, a little self-serving at times but ultimately cares very much about other people, particularly those who are helpless. Is incredibly charming, if a bit unscrupulous, but when angered she shows some rather... sadistic tendencies. Terrified of the responsibilities of being a leader.

Issala Adaar, female qunari warrior, sword-and-shield, 24 years old. Yellow/amber eyes, dark grey skin, white hair in multiple braids. Gentle, compassionate, noble, prefers diplomacy over violence, and is disturbingly self-sacrificing, to an unhealthy degree. Is actually trying to prove to herself and others that she isn't the monster people assume she is based on her race.

Suledin Lavellan, female elven mage, 28 years old. Green eyes, dark skin, black, messy, braided hair. Stoic, sardonic, cynical, cold, quiet, and pragmatic. Can be extremely ruthless given the right issue at hand. Has difficulty in social situations, and is horrible at opening up to people. An excellent strategist whose decisions as a leader weigh heavily upon her.

Sarai Cadash, female dwarven warrior, two-handed, 32 years old. Blue eyes, brown skin, blonde hair in a hastily done pixie cut. Violent, headstrong, fiercely loyal, fond of drinking, eating, flirting, and fighting. Not necessarily separately, or in that order. Has a soft spot for the underdog in any and all situations. Is basically in this to bash people's heads in for great justice and bring honor to the fallen House Cadash.

As a side note, I think they said the elven Inquisitor will always be Dalish, this time around. Either that, or only the elven MAGE Inquisitors will be Dalish, in which case you're probably in the clear.

All my characters will be gay men.

I haven't planned anything beyond that, except that I'll probably never play Dwarf.

My first will be Kanis Cadash. Pragmatic, desperate, and willing to do all it takes to save the world. She will make a lot of ruthless choices, but it wont be easy or callously done. Stern and serious, most likely Tempest Rogue. I am hoping with the emotional wheel to have the option of making stern choices but often react scared or upset otherwise. Not cold, just very desperate to get things done.

Noa Lavellan will be an elven mage. I really like the idea of having the Inquisitor be a good person, but have that thirst of knowledge, to know, that I really dont think was done well with Merrill. She will be unapologetically pro mage and pro elf. She will use every resource to learn more about the past and truly believes the answers lie there. Bright, kind, but driven and no patience for those who might stand in her way.

Garth Travelyan will be a Necromancer. I want this guy to seem good, and half way through just to realize how evil he really is. Cruelty under a nice veneer. Polite, sensible, an understanding listener, but evil to the bone. He isnt hateful, just crazy evil, and his little acts of kindness I feel will really offset his maliciosness

Funnily enough all my characters will be gay women.

I haven't planned alot beyond that except that while I may start a dwarf (out of curiosity) I'll probably not complete a dwarf. (Not enough curiosity to take me all the way through, weird I know  :P ).

My "main" Inquisitor will be Asha Kadash. She's going to be a Reaver who joined up with a dragon cult when she was younger because it seemed like a good idea at the time. She's going to randomly alternate between being ruthlessly blunt and frustratingly sarcastic. She's going to put everything she has into the Inquisition because she has nothing better to do and the sooner the world is fixed the sooner she can get back to her drinking. She doesn't care about mages or templars or elves or the Orlesian Civil War. Whichever side has the better sales pitch or the deeper pockets will have her support.

And if possible she's going to ride the Iron Bull all over Thedas.

In every playthrough on the first go, I always gravitated towards the smarmy, sarcastic, yet helpful mage. Always a redheaded gay male. Preferably elfin. Then a move onto playing the rugged arsehole. Also gay.

i'd love to RP a tevinter magister, hoping to restore the mighty tevinter empire to it's former glory, enslave the peoples of thedas and invade qunari. using the chantry and inquisition as means to achive her goals.

no romance (maybe Sera, unless she has problem with being a slave), probably killing most companions.

unfortunately i doubt it will be possible. so... i'll settle for whatever the story throws at me, I guess.

I HOPE I could make some kind of socially introverted warrior who tries to help people everywhere he goes but would never engage in most social events nor would he open up to any of his companions except for the "one". More of a good guy, sensitive, heroic and protective type of person. Who protects all who needs his protection regardless of who it is and couldn't care less about the reward.  He is also religious and believes in the chantry even if they don't believe in him, he only needs the maker not some judgmental, extremist humans.

As for another character I think it'd be a female dwarf warrior, generally underestimated by the mass of people but she'll prove to them otherwise, with force if need be. She's ruthless, she'll do what's right regardless of the effect it has on other people. She doesn't get manipulated, you'd be a fool if you try to sweet talk her because you'll end up with a giant sword at your throat, assuming she hasn't sliced it yet. She will also stand up for those who are like her, but should they show a sign of weakness then they have proved themselves unworthy. Love her, or hate her, she doesn't care. But fear her, respect her, those are her goals.

Well Im mostly gonna be stuck as a female(because of Sera), and ill probably make an elf, mage first. Black Canary from the show "Arrow" will probably be my ideal for personality.

Also I plan on making as "evil"  playthrough at some point. Im thinking male qunari for that one...

Oooo this looks like a fun thread  :D

I'm sure I'll make at least half a dozen PCs but so far I've only got two in mind that I"m still working on

Edit: Added more information

Qunari Male Mage most likely gay depends on who the available s/s male LIs are a mix between stoic and lighthearted more worried about the task at hand and will claim to relax once the fade is no longer leaking out all over the place. Would rather let someone else deal with any politics and sees no point about arguing what should be done instead of actually doing something. (if possible I'd love to make me more of a stat booster or healer character) Isn't stricly cruel but will scarfice the few to save the many. (would try to save crestwood but saving the keep would be at the top of the list) Has a thick skin and will put up with insults until the point where someone is refusing to help him solely because he is qunari despite them realizing hes is the best hope that they have to keep the tears from spreading.

Dwarf Female Rouge Warrior (want to give warriors another shot) straight, very lighthearted and kind natured frisky and playful must have bright red hair (and if I can put in freckles I will be happy) will focus on the task at hand but needs several pints of ale before dealing with any nobles or politics. Loves a good fight but won't go looking for trouble but doesn't have much patience to settle things diplomatically, Flirty and bold and rather be at the front of the fight instead of sitting back giving orders.

hopefully this list will grow over time and get more detailed still working on names though I've always been very bad with coming up names for anything

Got another one! One of the few humans I'll make female Mage features similar to that of Snow White (pale skin red lips dark hair ect) Doesn't care about helping others unless it furfills her own purposes. Example: she wouldn't help save crestwood unless she was sure there was something there that she could use to hurt the red templars. Harsh to all and expects everyone to give 100% all the time no excuses only exception she may have is for an LI if she finds any of them attractive. (now that I think about it she sounds like a mage I had in origins who was only kind to Leliana and when Leliana was in the group since she fell hard for that adorable bard)

Edit: Got even more!

Going to make a mage (not sure which race yet) based off of Rogue from X-Men (or get as close as I can to it) also going to make a dwarf rogue based off of Elisa Maza from Gargoyles, a human warrior based off of Olivia Benson from SVU, and (this ones a maybe) elf based on Cheetara from Thundercats.

I will start with a Female human, red or blonde hair, dual weapon rogue and straight.

Hm...I will play through all races and classes of course, but that's what I will start with. Yes...I am boring I know ;P

But I might play a gay elven male mage after that.

Or a dwarven female warrior

Oh this is fun. Let's see...

I want to create a female Qunari mage necromancer based around Griffith from Berserk. Basically someone who's passionate, idealistic, beautiful, intelligent and tragically no one realizes is actually extemely power hungry, emotionally unstable and all around axe crazy until it's way too late and 90% of the cast is being nommed on by demons.

Another is a female human warrior with a templar specialization. She's hardcore pro-chantry and honest to goodness believes she is the reincarnation of Andraste. I have a headcanon that she was leading a cult and was captured by the Chantry to be executed for heresy. She wasn't actually attending the peace conference but passing by on her way to prison. Needless to say surviving the explosion has done little to quell her delusions.

I'm also gonna play a duel wielding dwarven rogue at some point, haven't decided what to do with her yet but she'll probably be my sane character.

Helena (haven't thought of a last name - might just use the random name generator to pick one  lol):  Dalish Rogue.  Archer.  Red hair.  Kind of inspired by Merida from Brave.  :P

She has a deep respect for her Dalish heritage, and a reverence for the Elven gods.  She has little patience for "shems", and none for the Chantry and Templars who were responsible for the Exalted March on her people.  Due to her devotion to the elven religion, which holds the Fade as a holy place where the gods are trapped; it's questionable as to whether giving her command of the organization dedicated to closing the portals to the Fade was really such a good idea.

*mischievous grin*  :D

i usually start off with a male rogue type.

in dao, he was dalish named Loki, he hated humans and would mess with anyone's head if he was bored, even from the other dalish clan.  he took to being a hero well, but if the more morally rigid people weren't in his group he'd revert to being an agent of chaos.  he was a master of shadows and illusions as he stocked his prey and their coin purses.  he took to being a grey warden though, he enjoyed it, having a purpose he didn't have with his tribe.  he'd have drinking contests with A who quickly became like a brother to him, debate philosophy with S...debate theology with W, and some how found love with a human mage.  But in the end, he, L, Shale and Z would let loose and "fix" things the others would question.

Don't get me wrong, he wasn't amoral, he just had his own set of morals to deal with.

But in the end he knew he couldn't accept his fate and accepted the dark ritual.  After all the DLC he became bored with life, perhaps a little bit too much ptsd and went off searching for his lover.

In DA2 my rogue (who'se name i am blanking out on for the moment), was all about having a laugh.  he was a good guy, unless there was a ton of money to be made.  due to making his character when i was half asleep he ended up looking like a very thin jesus type.  he loved elves, perhaps a little too much and fell in love with merrill.  He was an assassin by skill tree though, and would be hell on a battlefield.

dai, i am not sure what rout i will go for my rogue, i think i will find out as he instinctively grows on me.  i do know my second run through will be a female qunari though, again personality is not yet established in my head

I am torn between a human/mage/male and a Rogue/human/female/

One will be a pro Chantry/ Circle *ish* Knight Enchanter who is out to restore order to the world but also eventually to change the course of Thedas and begin reforming some of their instutitions.

The other one will be a fiercely independent Assassin who isn't confident in her abilities to lead the Inquisition, but eventually finds herself in those abilities to kick a lot of butt.

Personally I've been thinking about creating a male, asexual, horn less Vashoth who is also a Knight-Enchanter.

He's belief in the Maker will run deep but he is certainly no zealot.  Being both a mage and a knight within the order, he can empathize to both sides of the current political climate and recognize that there are flaws on either side of the fence.  He values discipline, order and skill above all else and admires some of the more positive aspects of the Qunari and the Qun.  He will strive for perfection in most everything he does while weighing the decisions he makes with measured, dispassionate and logical resolve.  Ultimately he envisions a world ruled by order, justice and fairness on all sides...  and he will do whatever is in his power in pursuit of this dream.  Only the rare few within his circle will gain title of "friend" and see a softer more uninhibited side of him.

That's my inquisitor. :)

I have two ideas that I know I will follow through with so far.

The first will be basically what I have completed DAO and DA2 with the first play through, and that is a Male Human Warrior who wields a mighty 2H weapon. This time around, I want to investigate and understand if that Mage Specialization is one that allows for wielding 2H weapons. If so, I am likely to go that route just to experiment. However, all the other stuff is about the same. The character is approximately me. Sort of a good intentioned boob who does not pay close attention to details, enjoys getting others to do his dirty work and is something of a tramp. Likes wielding big weapons as the dude is freakishly tall with terrible eye sight. LOL.

My second character will be another arch type rehash that I enjoy playing, and that is a stealthy Archer type. In this case, being that we have Qunari, I want to try out a Quanri Rogue that is an Archer. This character will be a female for the heck of it.
