I've been thinking of playing as a bisexual female human rogue (archer) she has a darker skin tone with short brown hair (perhaps like Cassandra's) with blue eyes. Personality is very pragmatic, She was thrown into being the leader, not really great socially. She is sympathetic towards mages but knows they are dangerous.

Hopefully I can romance Cassandra

given what was shown in the videos most recently at E3, (spoilers for the game, if they keep it in, do not continue if you don't want to know) I've expanded my story for my pragmatic spymaster mage elf to include sending his lover (if it can be anyone who you send and not just the orlesian chick whose name escapes me right now) to investigate Redcliff, so he gets tortured (dont know if i mentioned this but he'll be gay). the intention being that the relationship go a little rocky, and that he show how cold he can be in service of the greater good. and as far as items go, he'll probably use the stag mount (part of the special edition)

also come up with some new concepts for myself, a dark haired, serious, but righteous human warrior female, bisexual, who lost her family as a result of her own hubris, so now she's willing to throw herself into trouble trying to make sure that if anyone goes down, its her (she's a tank)

and a qunari male (considering having him just be a flirt, but no actual romances, or if he does he just cheats) warrior who (if theres weapon-switching) becomes the tank should the actual tank die

also at some point i'd like to see a big qunari as an assassin, would be funny, i think...

I have 3 main canon playthroughs (and endless non canon ones) which all share the same personality/class characters if that makes sense.

So my Mage playthrough in DA:O is human female dark hair blue eyes, innocent, kind, all good dialogue responses, pro-cirlce, who didnt romance anyone but had a girl crush on Cullen (who shared her pro circle ideas)leading to my mage DA2  female dark hair blue eyes, innocent, kind, all good dialogue responses pro-cirlce, who romanced Fenris (who shared her pro circle ideas)

so you guessed it my DA:I mage playthrough will be a human female dark hair blue eyes, innocent, kind, all good dialogue responses, pro-cirlce etc etc.

My Rouge playthrough is female elf/human (will be elf again in DA:I) short haired blonde, green eyes, sarcastic/funny dialogue options and romances anyone who makes her laugh.  Alistar in DA:O and Isabelle in DA2.  Morality is flexable so sides with mages in DA:O/ Templars in DA2.

My Warrior playthough is human male dark red brown eyes, a total arse, hits on  everyone of any gender – sleeps with anyone who will say yes, so no official romance, totally in it for himself, nasty/rude dialogue responses

There's a main two that I really love to make when I get the chance to custom make a character, these two are my mains pretty much;

Kopii; Male Elf, Mage. He's a soft spoken gentle character who wants to do what's right in the least violent way possible. He always try to find another way and listens to his companions for feed back, never wanting to end up being a tyrant. When he does get challenged over something that he decides to do, he's quick to defend himself over it and try and talk it through why he makes the choice in the end. And if there's no other way than fighting he will not hold back unless the person surrenders. Mainly he works in water and earth magics, and is curious. He's not afraid to ask questions and he finds the fade interesting and is willing to speak to the unknown. And willing to give people a second chance even if they have had a track record of trying to kill him or backstabbing him. Kopii is also very protective over his party members, and will throw himself into the fire before he would even think of having someone go into something where they might get hurt.

He'll swing either way when it comes to romances, and I notice he has an issue of crushing on the those who manipulate him/the bad ones who take advantage of him. Since he's under this impression he can change them or he sees the good in them (example being in when I made him in DAO, his romance was hopping back and forth between Zevran and Morrigan) He's more likely to crush on male characters in the end but is always open to those he has the best chemistry with.

He's the character that I use to learn more about the game and lore, while playing a 'good guy' character. I find him to be my default go to character.

Runic: Female Qunari rogue. A speaks her mind not afraid to punch someone over being annoying to her lady. She's tough as nails and has a bit of a snark to her when she's around people she likes. I always picture her towering and intimidating at first sight, she does her best to show no weakness and takes control of a situation, though when it has nothing to do with her or her goals she will want to stay out of it. She's really not a fan of nobility and their petty squabbles, and she's not a fan of the whining of the commoners moaning about the nobility, what she wants is control and order. She'll choose the strong fist way of military power and fighting over talking, not that she's gullible or anything but she has had a track record of completely reading a person wrong when they're tricking her. So she doesn't allow herself to get into a social situation where she is at her weakest (political talk and stuff like that). She's willing to play the bad guy if it makes sense for her to be, and that is when people are being silly and just fluffing around.

Despite her rather stone cold military like attitude, she has a fondness for those who are gentle sweet hearts. She finds them really entertaining and likes to tease them, but at the same time she's surprisingly protective of them. They're hers. No ones allowed to pick on them. She is straight, and I've never had an occasion where she ever was interested in a lady no matter the charisma.

...If there was ever a chance for those two characters to meet, Kopii and Runic, I always picture them doing really well together. In Dragons Dogma I had them as Pawn and Master, it was ridiculously fun to pretend the conversations they would have.

I have other character concepts too, they're generally reserved for when I actually replay the game a lot or make more characters.

Flickar: Human Male Fighter. He's the only human male character I'm generally willing to make. He's an optimistic, bright side of life character who is a gullible smush as as well. He's closer to being a sort of paladin character, when he's told one thing he'll believe it and will get flustered when there's conflicting things being told to him, ending up falling back on gut instincts on what sounds 'right' to him. Very easily manipulated and easy to lie to, because he doesn't think people should lie. His cheerfulness and charisma is supposed to be contagious, like looking at a happy puppy. Loyal to those he trust, which is lots of people, and loves talking to strangers and learning more about them. He won't just roll over to anything though, if it will hurt people he tries to keep the numbers of casualties down, and if something is attacking people he'll go and protect like a good meat shield.

He really sucks at relationships. Like. I don't think he thinks about it. He's too busy just enjoying himself and helping. Waggle a lovely lady in front of him and he'll ramble on and on about asking about her and then talking about himself. I haven't figured him out on what sort of type he has, other then he wants to be everyones friend and anyone he doesn't want to be friends can scoot.

Roderick: Male Elf Rogue. This is my truly selfish character, he is focused on gaining political power and having a high rank in society and being looked upon as a person to be envious of. He is willing to lie, cheat, in the smoothest way possible so then not a soul would even notice he's doing it. He's a great actor and can twist conversations into his favor, and probably would be all about playing the Game. If he sees a person that is useful to him, he will twist them into working for him through word and is quick to pick up if they're suspicious of him. If he gets caught in a corner, he's out. He's physically not the best and is more to flee or be really dirty in the background fighting with backstabs or sniping.

He will romance a person who can get him political power or just social gain. No matter how annoying they are to him, he'll romance them. But he does hold interest in those who are just as manipulative as he is, finding them fun and is easily able to go and cheat on his current romances. For a fling or because he actually likes them because they can relate to what he's doing, but if they aren't politically powerful then he won't go all in and still keep up the facade with the romance that can get him power.

Beyond that lot, there's a few other characters but those are the main ones.

I'm boring.  I'm always a mage because it's the one thing I actually can't do in real life.  I could potentially learn how to wield a sword, I already shoot a boy and arrow, but try as I might...no blizzards or ice!  So probably a human or elf mage since I don't want to be a sarabas.

If I am a warrior I'll be a Qunari male.

I don't think I'll romance anyone in these games unless Varric turns out to be an option.

I have several that I have carried through the various DA and Bioware games, though only DAI has the proper combination of character customization options.

1st: Conner Lavellan, male Dalish rogue. Weapons of choice: Dar'Missan (elvish katana) and longbow. Preferred Elvish Creator: Falon'Din, the Gatekeeper to the land of the Dead. Takes no bronto **** from anyone, but is compassionate to the downtrodden. Stance on Magic: slightly pro-mage, still thinks there needs to be a system to protect the innocent from demons, but also protects mages from fear.

2nd: Kara Trevelian, female human Templar. Weapons of choice: Mace and shield. Andrastian. Champion of the helpless. Stance on Magic: believes in the Circle insofar as it actually does its job.

3rd: Mikal Cadash, male dwarf Berserker. Weapons of choice: Duel hand axes and crossbow. Believer in the dwarven paragons. Mercenary for hire, people get what they deserve from him. Stance on magic: very distrustful of those in power who have magic, but cannot deny its usefulness.

4th: Taur Adaar, male Kossith Champion. Weapons of choice: Battleax and Warhammer. Naturalist and environmentalist. Very pacifistic, but isn't afraid to fight when fighting is needed. Stance on magic: sick and tired of the current war, thinks the circle system is inherently broken.

I'm taking credit for Dorian. I said, like 3 years ago, on the DA2 boards that we needed a bi/gay Tevinter mage in classy clothes with a twirly mustache. Now, its yet to be known if he enjoys drinking tea with his extended pinky.

But otherwise, I've nailed it. Kneel before me!

I have only two playthroughs, atm.

One is going to be a rogue dwarf ladies man who's just winging it as it goes just doing what feels best to him at that moment. Then, as the game goes on, the weight of all the situations haunt him. I'm thinking a Han Solo mixed with Will Riker.

The second one is going to be a female Qunari mage that is sweet and gentle. She wants to prove that not all Qunari are violent and hot-headed but she resents the fact that her abilities have been thrust upon her. She doesn't feel like she is meant for the leader role but accepts it.

Aw to hell with it.
My Inquistor will be different from The Warden & Hawke.
My Warden was that late blooming Batman type.Fell in love Morrigan. While searching for her,he dealt with Architect & The Mother. After that he finally found her & went with her through the mirror.Example:Doesn't care about anything except Family & The Wardens.
My Hawke was a normal Mage until he went to Kirkwall. He basically had everyone's respect & loyalty even though he sided with the mages. He even falls for Isabella.Example:Hawke hated Circles.
The Inquistor will be the most heroic character but constantly about order.Example:Will try to re-establish order to the Mages & Templars.

My favorite concepts are capable people that fell too hard and had trouble picking up the pieces, till someone offered some kind of absolution and helped them up, and it works for a time till something odd happens and everything goes out of control.

I also like the idea of supernatural warriors/assassins. I like being able to command magic, but I don't like the idea of the artillery mage. When I think of spells I think of illusion, protective magics, and generally the more subtle examples.

For DAI I'd like to play a character that doesn't play well with others. He is essentially a lone wolf and will try to use his position just to cut corners and not try to lead. I'm not sure if he will stay like that, perhaps he will be seduced by "destiny", try to change, and that will continue till the last moments, where he will go back to his old self and do something either unthinkable or at unpredictable. I think he will be a rogue or a melee mage. They fit more to the concept I described earlier. Generally speaking, this isn't going to have a good ending for a lot of people. Perhaps he will leave the world in a better state, but it is going to be complicated :P

Actually I started building this concept after playing Mask of the Betrayer (it's spoiler free). My first run was neutral evil. I did some bad things but decided that it will serve everyone if I use my powers for a better cause. And it went like that till the very last moment where I decided that **** these people, I have better ideas.

It came to me very naturally, it's actually kind of scary ^^

FIRST RUN!

I will start with a Human Male Inquisitor, probably warrior but possibly mage. He will be called like me and look like me (spanish, brown hair, dark eyes) and of course really attractive. (Like me ofc ofc ofc B) )

I always start with this character and take the decisions I would take for the first run.

I intend to make him straight like me, but in Mass Effect this character ended up romancing Kaiden because I found him more attractive than the female options lol. It was awkard at times, but really fun anyways.

I was thinking between Cassandra and Dorian even (lol), but then Josephine was revealed and she is just so damn hot I dont think I will be able to resist.

SECOND RUN!

Then I will create a female named after my wife and take the decisions she would take (yeah I know, so original, but I laugh so much when we are indeed roleplaying ourselves and screwing up things...). Short hair, red (or dark, depends on what she fancies at the moment!). She might be an elf, she will surely.

This girl will be a mage, or maybe a rogue, and will definitely romance Cullen.

THIRD RUN!

I will play the class that is left, and the gender and romance will depend totally on the characters I want to romance next. And the decisions will just be opposite to everything else, to see it. This often ends up being the "bad guy" run, but there are exceptions. (I never could choose Logain instead of Alistair...)

After those, the rest will depend on what I fancy next, I end up doing a lot of runs...

Okay, so I've decided to change one of mine. Given that there is actually the option to make a "thinner" qunari, either a male or a female (if the option exists for a female only, then I'll just make a different character, and keep the original concept). I might make a gay Qunari wizard with onyx skin and no horns, who is a pragmatist, eschewing emotion whenever possible, a spy master who prefers manipulating people to actual combat (think Varys from the show, if Varys was more adept at killing with straight up violence, and also not pale as the driven snow...)

zzM6g.jpg?t=1343588432 Mage Knight Enchanter if it's what i think it is, and allows mages to armor / sword up.

as i understand it the mage knight enchanter is still a mage, you still wear robes, and you dual wield swords (or else summon spectral swords and use a staff to base the damage on). if its like the mage knight class from origins (i cant remember if it was in 2)

if youre looking for an armor wielding magic user, I think the templar and another spec whose name escapes me has magic...

Undercover Tevinter spy (mage or rogue)

Love the Tevinter and the fact that we get a Tevinter companion (Dorian) but that he is against the Tevinter imperium? Traitor! :(

First run is gonna be a female elven rouge names Bellanaris. Initially she's gonna start out hating humans in general but she'll end up with Cullen in the end, She'll also be BFFs with Dorian, so her hatred of the Imperium will have to change as well. She'll be very tough and serious on the outside, maybe slightly cold, with an unexpected sense of humor.

Past that I have no idea.
