That site is only selling DAI in the US and Canada at the moment. I guess it's blocked if you try to access from other regions.
The indication may have been taken out from outdated information. One way or the other, it would be best for EA/BW to improve their wording on this.
Here's a snapshot:

Well, if that is true then that is complete bull.
Ok like I always said, keep calm guys. After the OXM incident, don't take anything that is not confirmed by BioWare seriously. I would say, just restrain yourself for now, wait till they officially answer, then it's still not too late to unleash the wrath of millions exploding fans (either on EA or the damn site and their false info) lol
Lol.
You know the forumites much too well.

Yeah. Thank you.
Oh Maker, well I'm still gonna buy it if this is true, but I won't pre-order, if this is false then I'll be chucking my $120 at BioWare.
Why? It will screw up some way some how. EA...I just cant understand you.
Not really. ME 2, DA 2 and ME 3 require online activation. But you can play on offline mode. Now if DA:I turn out like Diablo 3, which you HAVE TO be online while playing (disconect from internet = out of game), that would suck :/

The way I see it this game could have both a mode that requires a permanent internet connection and none at all. The way I see it the keep records events that occur in the dragon age universe and such a thing would require a permanent internet connection. However, a user could choose to have everything offline and then only upload his progress when he has an internet connection. Basically only permanent internet connection for some use cases.
I am just building off the model that EA has been using for it's previous games like FIFA
They also require a permanent internet connection.
I can't vouch for ME 3 since I haven't played it lately. But I can tell you DA 2 and ME 2 doesn't require permanent internet connection, only need to be online when you activated the game. I played those 2 on my laptop, in airplane mode and had no problems. Just to be safe, I even unplugged my router just now, made sure I had absolute no connection and yet I could still log in Origins (offline mode) and played those 2. So yeah, you don't need permanent internet connection to play DA 2 and ME 2.
Just to be clear, "permanent internet connection requires" is like when you play online game. You HAVE TO be online to play. You can't even enter the menu screen without a connection. And the moment you lose connection, the game automatically kick you out, and you can't even start again. That's the problems with games like D3 or SimCity 4, and people's reaction was, well, pretty damn ugly. Doubt EA want to go down that sh*t hole again

can confirm not for me 3 ether. played without internet as well. as in I had no internet at all at the time. I was on the xbox if that matters
Considering they're patching in an offline mode for SimCity because of the backlash I doubt EA would go this route a second time.
It's like Sim City never happened...
If this were a release date (like a week ago) you'd all be ignoring it because it's got no real source. Can we wait until there's a source other than Gamefly to rely on? No?
..sigh.
Carry on.
EA kinda does remind me of that little impressionable kid that hangs out with the older cool rebel kids. The older kids do something bad and mostly get away with it while EA does the same thing and gets the in the most trouble simply because everyone is more alert about it.
Oh my maker! That EA is ruining everything we love. Please be false.
Mass Effect 3 required permanent internet connection too. Turned out ot be false too.
I'm wondering how this will effect people like myself who are getting it for Xbox 360 due to a lower-end computer. Are we doomed if we can't afford Xbox live? ![]()

I always think it's funny that EA receives cries of "ruining games forever", while other game publishers do the same things, sometimes even worse than EA, and nobody comments on it.
Then again, hating on EA is the everyday pasttime for gamers around the world.
This doesn't sound right. Do you have a link to this supposed comment?

there is a pic on page 3... though it could be something the put on all EA/origin games and people are freaking out over nothing.
Here we go again. I hope that there's some sort of a misuderstanding.
I would have thought that what happend with Diablo 3 would be enough to teach game developers to take their finger off the online trigger.
It would be truly frustrating having to skip DA:I because of a mandatory internet connection.
When I buy a game, I expect to be able to play it forever. As long as I maintain appropriate hardware, there should be nothing stopping me from playing that game 20 years from now.
I actually have a 33 year old game that I occasionally play now.
But if there's an online requirement, what happens if EA turns off the servers? What happens if EA ceases to exist?
I think that's a problem with digital games, what happens if the Steam, Origin, Uplay etc servers shut down will we have access to the games that we purchased? Or do we own them until the servers die. It's a fundamental flaw with the digital market.

EA SUX COZ DEY DID STUFFZ. Sorry I went 5 whole minutes without insulting EA, that's like forever in gamer time.
Seriously I'm aware of what EA does and what all companies do, I get really agitated when people force certain things on us such as on-disc DLC, online connections in any form even if it's a one time deal, significant day one story DLC that seems half-finished, game that doesn't run properly on launch. I don't rage I just ignore those practices such as Skyrim I returned the game after it became unplayable on my PS3 and I'm not ever playing it again, on-disc DLC I just don't buy it, online connections I don't use or purchase the product, significant day one DLC that's half-finished is the hard one to avoid since it comes down to the individual's opinion.
What I'm saying calling EA bad and insulting them is counter-productive, just don't buy it. If the PC version actually has always online which I'm skeptical of purchase DA:I on another platform if possible. Again insulting is childish and immature.
This most likely is false unless Inquisition is gonna have similar feature like ME3's GAW and since MP has not been confirmed I find that unlikely as well.
Having played the Entire ME Trilogy "All DLCS as well" and DA Origins & DA2 "Once again all DLCs as well" both were playable offline so I can't see this unless MP is actually in game.
