Murder knife totally counts as a companion. Kinda unfair though.. Always a one hit kill
Hope we can do this to more mages.
jesus christ almighty
Some dolt threw him at the sky, thus causing the events of the game.
Oh gods... if the murder knife is the final boss.......
*Ahem* I for one welcome our new demonic overlords.
I hope not. Killing your companions is stupid, you should be able to tell them to gtfo if you don't like them but kill them? Meh. Though I always keep every companion around even if I dislike them, they all bring something to story and playthrough feels unfinished without them all.
murder knife was too good in my opinion for anders. if anders appears wont be in my gamee lol. even if i sides with the mages. he dies

This really depends on the situation. In DA:O, you could potentially kill a few of your companions (though one is retcon'ed to live no matter what), but in these cases they turn on you first. In DA2, I thought it made sense to have the choice. I found Anders' whole Justice combo to be more trouble than it was worth (made apparent in that he had to be talked down to prevent killing an innocent person for simply calling him a demon). Typically, I keep all of my companions throughout the game. I never skip recruitment in ME1, never allow anyone to die in ME2 and never kill the VS or send him/her away in ME3, but Anders... He's probably the first companion I've ever killed off.

Stupid to you, some characters dont contribute that much to certain players. If you dont want to kill companions, then dont, i dont see why you wouldnt want it in the game.
Murder Knife for companion!
Seriously though, it would be fun to have it in game.
He deserved worse.
Yeah. Like being forced to live with a spirit of justice inside him after murdering a bunch of innocent people and starting a war that would potentially cause thousands of deaths. I bet Justice loves telling him what a good job he did constantly.

Man, it would suck if it didn't return. It was one of my favourite parts about 'aggressive' hawke.
Murder knife for Companion and LI! Dat, handle.. ![]()
i would be rather disappointed if there was no murder knife. and it's not about hatred. i find it hard to hate or love pixelated ppl. it's about RP - as limited as it could be in crpg, pro-mage Hawke cannot go to Tevinter instead of Kirkwall but he can resolve Fenris/Denarius plot in most interesting way. the same logic should be applied to murder knife. more than that, it's about pure curiosity - excluding certain characters from the narrative in possible future games just to see how it's going to be handled, but that is not going well so far.
about Anders... murder-knifing him just makes another martyr. unless Hawke is a mage - then it's social responsibility.
It's kind of funny that people actually like the murder knife even when it makes no sense for certain classes to use it.
Why would a Mage need a tiny knife to kill someone? Can't a warrior split someone in two with the giant sword on his back?
(Why would Mage!Hawke kill a walking corpse with a thrown knife to the eye?...)
Rogue is more or less the only class for which a "murder knife" makes sense.
Murder knife is simply a not very convincing way to make a catch-all animation for everyone.
Hope we can do this to more mages.
And elves!
Dont remember using it to often
My Warden:
Rexel, the tainted prisoner in the arl of denerims estate
Danyla
Ruck, the tainted dwarf in the deep roads
Dying Militiaman in wending woods in Awakening
My Hawke used it a bit more:
Wesley, Avelines Husband
Kelder the magistrates son
Danzig the Tevinter slave hunter
Used it to threaten the dockmasters assistant Aden when he tried to get a bribe out of me "They say your life flashes before your eyes when you die...Any helpful flashes yet?" loved it
Idunna the blood mage in the blooming rose
And my characters have both killed one companion each, My Hawke killed Anders..And my Warden (Although he didn't really use the murder knife or even do it himself, but let Anora) killed Alistair.
Hmm, guess ive used it a bit more than i initially thought. I support the return of the Murder Knife.
I'm guessing we'll be able to kill some people, but i doubt it will be in the kinda awkward manner that it was in previous game, where you just kinda slash at someone with the knife, or just stab them in weird places.
Maybe we get to execute people, you know judge them to death and stuff, being the leader of the Inquisition and all. That would be interesting i think.
Besides, Cassandra totally has the murder knife in Inquisition.
Why would a Mage need a tiny knife to kill someone?
It's less impressive, but it gets the job done.
The Murder Knife is the big bad.
Semi-confirmed rumor.
