Why shouldn't it return?
The murder knife finds your lack of faith disturbing.

I just want to blow up more Andrastian places of reverence.
There is something so pure about seeing such places going up in a flaming ball of death.
A purity that the Chantry sorely lacks.
It's kind of funny that people actually like the murder knife even when it makes no sense for certain classes to use it.
Why would a Mage need a tiny knife to kill someone? Can't a warrior split someone in two with the giant sword on his back?
(Why would Mage!Hawke kill a walking corpse with a thrown knife to the eye?...)
Rogue is more or less the only class for which a "murder knife" makes sense.
Murder knife is simply a not very convincing way to make a catch-all animation for everyone.
You take that back! my Mage warden used the murder knife for a few reasons
1: its quiet
2: it doesn't use mana on things that aren't worth it
3: cover my tracks, i'm a mage nobody expects a mage to use a murder knife
4: its just so damn funny.

Cullen is on the top of my Inquisitor's list of people to murder knife.
And elves!
and templars!
The Murder Knife is the big bad.
Semi-confirmed rumor.
We'd be doomed, it could kill any or all of us in-conversation. Against which there is no defense.
Im hoping my first stabee can be Cullen, though I doubt it since he's an advisor and not a companion...
I hope he turns on us...I really do.
I hope he turns on us...I really do.
If he does his death by murder knife should see him run only to get the great murder knife to the back of the dead as he runs away, then dramatically falling over and landing on the Inquisitor's big desk.
I'm hoping for a more gruesome death... like stabbed repeatedly in the chest and face...then the removal of his heart...the severing of limbs... followed by a nice tranquil scene of some wild mabari's have a nice little dinner party.
*sigh* if only... ![]()
I'd never (murder-knife)d them. Except mercy kills. Except those Tevinter slaves and annoying elves. Companions? NO. Even Anders.
By the way, I hope we see more of the murder knife...and it's cousin the handgun on mass effect, wich can kill ANYONE on conversations and cinematics, but cannot kill a single tusk without shooting them to hell. It's amazing how shepard, who has a freaking assault gun and a submachine gun, uses a puny gun to execute everyone on convos.
Hope we can do this to more mages.
In the mean time.......................

While I tend to support the idea of more humane treatment of mages, I still consider Anders a crazy and dangerous crazy person./terrorist.
The way he does things is just wrong, I guess it's in part due to that mindless spirit/demon inside him. A creature that's completely singleminded and has no respect for life.
And guess who programmed Anders to be this way? It couldn't be that he was born this way. Perhaps you should reconsider what he has been through since he was a child. He was taken from his home by the templars as a child and shackled up like some dangerous prisoner. He was taken to the Circle where he would never see his family again. Just look at what happen to Jowan. His mother hated him for being who he is... a mage. Guess where all of that hatred came from? It couldn't be the work of the Chantry. Putting fear into people will only give you more control and power.
If you want to call Anders a blood thirsty terrorist then go right ahead and call him whatever name you desire, but please remember that he is the product of the injustice of what the Chantry has been doing to the mages for so long. Theirs so much that a mage can tolerate until they're put into a situation where they must fight to regain back their freedom.
What you call terrorism I call justice.
Murder knife totally counts as a companion. Kinda unfair though.. Always a one hit kill
Kind of makes me feel bad for the Murder Knife actually. Describing him as a companion makes me think it's an actual knife with real feelings. Like Murder Knife is a sentient knife that only wishes to make friends, but everytime he meets a new person, he kills them. Tragic.

Have you played Awakening? That way you'd know Justice isn't mindless and respects life. However like Anders said the joining transformed both of them and the outcome wasn't that stable and pretty.
Murder Knife is essential in the Dragon Age universe game

I love how when there is a discussion on murder knife Anders is always involved. Heh. You can't really separate them can you?
But for real I would love Murder Knife back AND functional in gameplay.
Murder knife is not a murder knife if it's not murdering. Anders mission in "UN"life was to blow up the Chantry. He accomplished that mission now he must help murder knife to continue its mission of spreading the word of the murder knife.
That pic of Anders is great, lol.
I'd have preferred him having to explain himself to my Warden(s) and their murder knives.
Come on folks it won't be a Dragon Age game without the murder knife!
