You monster.
Murder Knife should have it's own skill tree.. just imagine being able to throw MK at just about any enemy, it'd only be insta-kill if they're, let's say 5 or more levels below you otherwise it'd just be decent damage and maybe a bleed effect, and since the hostile npc's have their levels locked throughout the game it'd be a quick way to dispatch the lower tier enemies later in the game.
And then Hawke slowly tightens the hug, followed by a quick sideways motion and the telltale sound of a neck crack.
No.

I love murderknife. Murderknife must return. It wouldn't be a Dragon Age game without that little scamp.

You know, you're right. Becoming a martyr is too good for Anders. He should stand trial and be executed for the murdering, warmongering monster that he is. Thanks for opening my eyes, Raijin. ![]()
I have this secret dream where murder knife reaches the level of fan obsession in the DA fandom that BirdJesus or the helix fossil have on twitch.Your learning well but there is yet more murder knifing to be done.
Ask not if that person should receive the loving embrace of the murder knife.
Ask if that person can feel the loving embrace of the murder knife.
For surely it is the duty of every Thedian to share the message of murder knife, even with those who are reluctant.
Praise be to Murder Knife.
Also you have it backwards their should not be a list of people To murder knife but a list of people NOT to murder knife, mine is as follows:
1: self
2: LI

"That's right Anders I'm not going to turn you into a bloody martyr..........I'm going to turn you into mage soup." (snaps neck like HUNK from RE)
I love happy endings.
I hate headcanon, but I indulged myself in order to have a scenario where hawke has a shack somewhere in dark town with a certain abomination hung from the ceiling. It's how my Mage hawke keeps those big beefy biceps"That's right Anders I'm not going to turn you into a bloody martyr..........I'm going to turn you into mage soup." (snaps neck like HUNK from RE)

No.
I need it. I love being a total sociopath and psycho.
I really hope there isn't some class specific option.
I hope there's no murder knife. I find it disturbing how passionate some people are about killing our companions. Or elves/mages, how dare they complain about their oppression amiright?

I only use it on criminals, like Vaughan, Anders, etc.
I think the idea of optional instant death methods would be amusing, if nothing else.
Knife, spell, bash their skull against the stone wall, command Iron Bull to rip their arms off.
You know, just to cover all the murder bases.

Yes please. One of the strongest moments in DA:O was with my more 'evil' characters at the dying soldier in the Korcari Wilds. Insisting to Alistair that we don't have time, casually killing the poor guy and then saying 'I prefer the term ruthless myself'. Glorious.

They're not oppressed because they're not people and neither the story or setting is real.
A couple of months ago I started a Sith Warrior in TOR and decided to go full dark side. I lied, bullied, betrayed, and ruthlessly murdered people all the time. Even people who had been nothing but helpful and respectful to me.
Usually I force choked them, but sometimes I just cut them down with my lightsaber.
It was great. I got into RPing the character and enjoyed myself immensely. Then turned around and rolled a light side Republic Trooper and that was fun as well.

Blowing up a church full of people is certainly one way to "complain about oppression."
This is why you need the murder knife. If Anders had just had one of his own, he could have just gutted Meredith. Clean and elegant; no collateral damage. It works for Cole.

I generally don't kill companions with it but come on who could honestly say the didn't enjoy knifing Javaris? Almost all my characters killed him and even my really goody two shoes Hawke kinda wanted to.
They ARE oppressed in this setting. I don't see how it being fiction negates that.
Your character doesn't have to care though, they are fictional and they aren't you. I know not everyone enjoys playing a "bad" person or just a person with different morals but some do.
