In my current game those Krogan said the following:
"I've heard an Urdnot once walked the Presidium" and then the other guy laughs about it like it's impossible. Don't remember the exact line.
I think Wrex has to be dead to get that.
I'll keep my ears open for that when I get there in my current run. Still a ways from it though.

I wouldn't be able to do it. Wrex is one of my favorites, and my favorites get killed off too often so I always try to save them. I'd have to avoid recruiting him if I ever wanted to do a playthrough with Wreav, and even then... it wouldn't be as fun without Wrex.

I've never killed Wrex on Virmire, if he is to die, I have to be the one to shoot him in ME3... :'( But those playthroughs are always rushed so I try not to think too much about it.................

The one time I did was long before ME2 came out, so I never even imported the save, and I don't remember how it all played out. That's why I'm playing this run this way, for all the different stuff I don't normally do.
When I first played through ME2, I didn't have Genesis(Back then PS3 didn't have ME1)because I was playing a used version, and so, when I got to Tuchanka, Wreav was there to greet me! Worse story of my life!

I know, you've got to stay in-character. I just give all of my characters a reason not to kill off my favorites so the situation never comes up.
@ Psychevore: I've never cried from a game, but it is sad to see my favorites go down. And with Saren, it happened three times in a row.
