I am a little bit curious, what drawing program you use? Those lightning effects and anatomy skills make me so so so so jelly I would hug your pictures if it was physically possible,
I use photoshop, seems just like having an F-16 to just get to the grocery store. I tried gimp first , but I remember it being very clunky on windows.

It's very easy on the eyes, flowing and lighting is great. It's natural in a sort of ... old artstyle way.
For me, it would be something I'd have in my house.
Ah, yeah I suppose it's hard to explain. I've seen people with an easily distinguishable style, and always wanted that for myself not thinking I might already have one.

Even though we don't know in depth about the characters personalities, you've managed to capture a real essence in your portraits. Cole's portrait, oh my, it's so haunting.

I only have a tutorial about basics on art, like composition, anatomy, colours, perspective etc. Not sure if there is much to learn by the way I paint, the biggest tip I can give there is don't try to be too clean about it, cleaning up you can do towards the end, and the "mess" can create happy accidents in your painting. Meaning details/colours/values you otherwise wouldn't have added appear "by themselves" and you take use of it.

The way you can use lighting! Just incredible. It seems so alive. Like I can se the motion or breathing. And you can give so many real facial expressions. Just love it.
My favorite is the grab&kiss with Dorian/Inquizitor I saw on Tumblr. The way they hold on to each other, the placement of the hand on the neck and the thumb on the cheek. Because it looks so natural and just... *growls* Maybe it's also the painting you did showing of Dorian flailing his hands just before the kiss that makes the kiss so special. A mini story with a happy ending.
Ah, just you wait, that portrait of Dorian will show signs of ageing too.

Thanks! Most of the armor design is based off of various concept art for the game tho. I think the concept artists have a thing for belts and straps, and I really don't mind.
The pauldron thing is just a leather variation of mages and their feathers for example and I didn't have that leather chest thing on at first, since Qunari seem a bit Spartan in that way. But they do seem to value protecting their means of fighting (Arms.) So maybe it is obvious or not, that her right arm is her strongest. Left gets more speed in that sense, and a little bit of that "Spartan" feel. Bla bla

I started on a sculpture for Varric but that one is just lying here... I might get around to it tho, the portraits, and hey I've got more time now don't I? A month++ extra...
It'd be cool to see some inquisition agents drawn up, I feel like all the attention is going to the companions and not enough to the actual inquisition itself.
