In DAO and DAA, I found her annoying. In Asunder I liked her. She knew how to survive in a dangerous world and come out ahead. What are your thoughts?

well one has to consider that she went through a blight and survived when by all accounts she should be dead, that'd be enough to harden anyone.
anyway...I hope we get to visit *The* tree
*lifts mug of ale*
This one's for you, you might have been possessed by a spirit, but you were the sanest of us all.
I feel nothing but pity. For such a brave and benevolent person she did not deserve to be subjected to Andrastian society.
She should have had a better life with her son and maybe even a husband.
I had my issues with Wynne. Honestly in Origins she was probably my least favorite companion, though there were parts of her character I did like. But I felt she was too judgmental, and too ready to try and tell others how to live their lives.
She was a bit preachy at times, but I liked her. I'm not sure what Grandma Cousland was like, but I'm assuming it wouldn't have been far removed from Wynne.
Didn't read Asunder.
In Origins, well-intentioned, a bit sheltered and overly idealistic, less wise than she thought, self-righteous and preachy. She irked my warden several times. Her heart seemed to be in the right place, so to speak, but she sure didn't come off as a "wise mentor" to me. I did like her voice though. It was soothing.
Wynne disapproves
Actually, she stated she had a hard life. She just knew how to play the game. She couldn't stop them from taking her baby. She wanted that war to continue so that the mages would have a better life. She knew how many mages got their freedom. Remember Wilhelm and Wilhelm's son. Both were mages and both were free. A mage who becomes a hero becomes free.

I don't blame her. Considering how little control she had over her own for the majority of her life.
If you read Asunder you see a different Wynne.
She couldn't stop them from taking her baby.
Maybe she shouldn't have gotten pregnant in the first place.

I didn't blamed her either, but I sure didn't like it ![]()
I was a Mage in DAO/A,i will miss her ![]()

I didn't like her in DAO as well. I really didn't understand "the why". The book really give a clear view.

You mean she could be a monk. A virgin for life. That is an interesting thought.

Don't screw, don't get pregnant, and you won't get your baby taken away.
It's that simple.
Maybe the circles should have been sexually segregated.
She also seemed to be a person with a crisis of faith. She wants to believe the chantry, yet she just have so many questions. She made due with her situation and tries to be a good example of mages to the outside world.
Yeah I got that vibe too.

I have to imagine Thedas has some form of birth control. We've had reasonably effective forms of it in the real world for thousands of years.
Like every member of the team in DAO, I thought she was a great character.
A bit sad we won't see her in Inquisition.
Maybe the circles should have been sexually segregated.
Sexual frustration would probably lead to more blood mages and abominations.
Mages forced into chastity would probably be easy pickings for Desire Demons. ![]()
I don't know. The Maker comes across a lot like Yahweh. I do not envy the man who spills his seed upon the ground. ![]()

There's that too.
Ah hell just tranquilize the hell out of them.
She did mention they had ways to prevent pregnancies in the circle. Its just that she and gregoir chose to keep their love child
Actually a Templar.
