I'll be honest. I don't know.

I'm that guy in the survey who says he want's really strong coffee but in actual fact drinks weak milky latte and can't stand strong coffee. PARADOX ALERT!!!!! (I know if you read this statement again, you'll end up doubting if I like weak latte either because of the "I don't know what I want statement".)

However, I can describe what I really loved about Fallout 3, Elder Scrolls Oblivion and Elder Scrolls Skyrim.

  1. Perks, skills, levelling up and character progression: I love going from a weakling who has to run away from a lot of fights to becoming the ultimate fighter who can decimate any foes who comes their way.

  2. Being able to play as a male and a female. Gender selection is what I love about Western RPG's. Keep it up.

  3. Exploration. From the epic vast landscapes, to the small interiors. Lots of gems to explore, easter eggs to be found, fights, adventures, lore to discovered, loot go equip and sell, crafting, interacting etc. Elder Scrolls and Fallout do these kinds of things really well.

  4. Quests! Lots of quests. You can put me on those lame escort quests, or go here kill this quests or have me fetching items. All quests come under one of the many over used categories. However what makes quests epic is not what you're told to do. It's the context. If you're told to escort your father aka Liam Neeson through ruins to help him radiated purify water and along the way fight bandits, super mutants and critters in a crumbling wasteland, then the boring escort quest becomes an exciting road trip.

  5. Non combat abilities. I love hitting enemies with my super sledgehammer and then gunning foes with a plasma rifle. Trust me, it never gets old. However, have me hacking consoles, crafting weapons, lock picking doors, disabling land mines and talking to townsfolk and you have an engaging adventure. I never grow tied of anything in a Fallout/Elder Scrolls game. There is so much to do. Keep up the variety. I will never say no to more, even if I end up spitting out that really strong coffee I asked for.

  6. Followers. I love followers. I wish they were more fleshed out though. I want to get to know them better. Granted I haven't played Fallout New Vegas, but I have played Skyrim. Too many followers and too little character development. Hey Lydia, I would really love to get to know you better. Too bad no one took the time to develop your character.

  7. Pit Boy! I love that little gadget. Have your map, equipment, quests and lore all in a little device. Every now and then you can freeze time and target limbs in slow motion thanks to VATTS.

  8. Comedy! Pseudo 1950's art. I love those funny 1950's parody images and black humour. I love the radio and the various funny shenannigans that you hear about. Oh and Three Dog! Owwwwwww! Awesome.

  9. Umm. Nuka Cola and other made up beverages! I love wondering around finding Nuka Cola's. I know I end up suffering from radiation poisoning and diabetes, but hey I'll endure it all anyway.

  10. Lore! Lots and lots of lore. I want to learn more about this fascinating world. I recommend Shoddy Cast for Elder Scrolls and Fallout lore. They are amazing.

My big 5 are.

1 Less **** user interface. The one in fallout 3 and NV is right out of a text book on how not to design one.

2 More and better voice actors. NV fixed this slightly but 3 we reused them to death. Every male ghoul has the exact same bloody voice actor.

3 Better physics.

4 Better animations.

5 Make the map less awful so you actually have some idea of where you're going. (This may go with the UI but I felt it needed a separate point.)

1. Less game engine bugs

2. Less game engine bugs

3. Less game engine bugs

4. Exploration

5. A plot that is not just a trail of breadcrumbs between cities

6. World that makes sense, if some merchant has survived for 20 years wandering the desert, why can a simple radscorpion kill him and his bodyguard

I love the pit boy, though I must agree with you.

I found it hard to find anything on the inventory screen.

Obsidian handling the writing.

What about Zenimax handling the writing?

They handled Elder Scrolls Online.

1. Bethesda should fix any bugs instead of rushing it out and leaving for the mods to repair their broken game. Also hire decent writers or team up with Obsidian again so that the plot would not be total crap.

3. The map should be vast like in FO3, not cramped like in NV.

5. More quests with multiple choices and outcomes.

6. More followers with interesting backstories would be nice. Also more VA's instead of reusing the same ones over and over. More than a few ghouls and super mutants should have normal voices, tbh.

7. Also a low intelligence character's dialogue should be stupid throughout the entirety of the game, like in the older Fallouts. Seriously, in NV you can make your character an absolute git, but his/hers dialogue for the most part remains normal except in certain conversations.

Some stuff that I would like to see:

1. Less bugs in the game

2. More things to find in the world. Bethesda is great at creating a lot of things to explore, but once I've seen one Dwemer ruin I've pretty much seen them all. They don't all need to give some super powerful unique item, but something different would be nice.

3. More relevant choice in character building. Even pre-DLC I could build a near perfect character in Fallout 3 that had 100 in every skill.

4. I would hope for a better UI for the PC version of the game, although I can trust in modders to fix that even if Bethesda doesn't do it.

5. Have the world react more to your choices. This is more of a complaint about Skyrim, but I recall things like people telling me to go join the mages college when I was already the archmage.

6. Revamp the mini-game for hacking. I really dislike having to hack anything in the later Fallout games.

I like to see a quest involving fighting a Behemoth Deathclaw and when defeated you get unique armor

Have a quest in which you can fly(one time use) a vertibird

1. Companions that have personalities

2. More ambiguous plotlines and choices that aren't necessarily rooted  in a painfully obvious  moral dilema.

3. New and improved graphics engine

I think that about covers it.

Well yes, but New Vegas's writing wasn't terrible.

Have you ever thought about going into politics?

I honestly don't know what New Vegas writing was like.

I've heard that Obsidian did a good job though.

Obsidian handling the writing.

Basically this - What I'm looking forward to most about Fallout 4, is when Obsidian makes a much better version.

1. A much better character creator. Seriously, the last one was terrible and it was incredibly hard to make an attractive character. I ended up playing a copy of Butch DeLoria through both FO3 and NV.

2. Make decisions matter more and make factions more prominent and important to the plot. NV was already a slight improver.

3. Vehicles.

4. Less bugs, less glitches and please fix the constant crashes on consoles.

5. A cooler Brotherhood of Steel. I loved the BoS in FO3, but they were horrible in NV.

6. A larger variety of weapons and improved weapons and armor customization.

7. More voice actors.

8. Better character movement and physics.

Modding for the PS4 and XBOX One.

Oh wait, neither console supports this.

I'll probably not purchase the next consoles and become a PC gamer then.

Seriously console designers.

Why don't you support modding?

Huge deal breaker right there.
