Depending on the origin, they had every intention of taking a ship to Amaranthine.
Truly a tragedy.

Maybe the Inquisitor is the bastard son of Revka.
Don't even joke about that
Maybe they all died during their Harrowing Rituals with Amell Warden being the only one who passed their test.
Or maybe they all died from various causes such as: Killed while trying to escape their circle, Tranquilized, Died in their youth in a freak accident, caught a fatal disease that couldn't be healed or etc.
Doesn't really matter though. You could honestly headcannon that Amell Warden was Revka's only kid and it wouldn't make any difference.
I always had a suspicion Quentin was Revka Amell's husband. He had an Amell family crest in his base, as well as how much Leandra supposably looked like his dead wife.
Very interesting theory.

Of all that was posted here this one in particular makes me

I've always wondered why that crest was there! This is a great theory.
Upon learning their cousin was the Champion of Kirkwall, they had decided to request the Knight Commanders of their respective Circles for permission to visit.
Unfortunately, they were being welcomed by Grand Cleric Elthina when Anders destroyed the Chantry.
Do we know how many siblings there were?
They could have been made tranquil, died in their Harrowing, gotten possessed by demons, died in the mage/templar war or died in any of the "normal" ways. I think it's likely that not all of them are alive, but maybe some are. It would be nice to find at least one of them at some point, either alive or dead.
I think it would have been interesting to find out more both about Revka and her husband and the other children, but I doubt we will.
I doubt David Gaider knows how many Amell children there are/were.
Don't even joke about that
Can you imagine the Qunari Inquisitor having a human mother? ![]()
My recollection isn't perfect, but I'm pretty sure that Quentin's wife was named at some point.I've always wondered why that crest was there! This is a great theory.
revka is probably a brood mother some where by now... anyway maybe they do a throw back with dorian being an amell.... gotta have at least one in tevinter
This realisation that they are an awesome family of mages cause them all to explode at once unleashing a torrent of raw energy to rips open the veil itself.
"Wait... you're a mages, too?"

*Rift explosion*
hmmm... here's a link to the Codex about the Amells
http://dragonage.wik...he_Amell_Family
I replayed the conversation with mother recently and there is no mention of which child, birth order wise, that was taken from her cousin. However a couple of points.
Listening to Leandra I got the impression she was still in Kirkwall and still young when her cousin Revka's children were taken. Carver and Bethany are 18 or so in DA2, they were not born in Kirkwall so Leandra had already left Kirkwall by their birth. Hawke may have been born while she was still in Kirkwall; however, he wasn't there for long, if he was even born there.
I find it hard to believe that mage Amell in origins is the oldest because of the time frame doesen't support it as well.
==============
Now Mage children of a single parent, I remember hearing/reading are not sent to the same tower. It makes sense I guess.
According to Leandra all Revka's children showed mage talent and were taken. You can find Leandra's conversation about Revka on youtube.
The timeline and that codex are a little complicated however.
The Amell family codex states that Viscount Threnhold's attempted eviction of the Templars occurred only a few years before the events of Origins (9:23) and seems to imply that Revka's child being discovered to have magic and being sent to the Ferelden Circle happened before Leandra eloped to Ferelden with Malcolm. Yet Hawke is supposed to be 24-25 at the start of DA2, which makes absolutely no sense with that timeline, since Legacy states that Leandra was already pregnant when they left.
The timeline makes more sense if we assume that Leandra had already left Kirkwall by that time and simply heard about Revka's child being taken afterwards, which would make sense since we know that Malcolm and Leandra kept in contact with both Ser Maurevar Carver and Gamlen respectively.
And if we take Cullen and Wynne's statements about the rough estimated ages of mage children first manifesting being around 8-12, then that puts the Mage Warden's age between 19-23 at the time of Origins, which would be a reasonable age for the Warden to be. With the 18 year old Bethany being Harrowed almost immediately if she leaves for the Circle, this would also fit with the Warden undergoing their own Harrowing during their Origin, being of a similar age.
