Does anyone have the Biotic Explosion sound effect in mp3? I want to use it as my phone's incoming-text-messge sound.

Evidently sound effects consist of several different audio files throughout the game's installation, which include weapons, and they're also manipulated by the game engine. Your best bet would be to visit a quiet level, use biotic powers all over the place and have a sound recorder turned on at the same time.

 

I did that with Acoustica MP3 Audio Mixer, that's how I got almost 20 minutes worth of Reaper horns in their......natural habitat lol. Got recordings off the Reaper Destroyer guarding the Citadel beam, the Reapers in Vancouver, the Reapers on Menae & Harbinger at the Citadel beam. Sometimes it's delayed and you gotta wait a minute or so before the honking starts. It's very random and I haven't been able to find all the different Reaper horn sound effects themselves which kinda drove me crazy.

 

Have a listen to this and tell me it doesn't freak you out. Lol imagine those are the sounds coming from outside your window.

But on the subject of biotic sounds, only Flare is the one with some kick behind the sound effect. Everything else is pretty negligible. Heh I got a few Flare sounds recorded during my session with the Citadel beam's Destroyer.
