And please don't make their fur a necessary component in crafting. I love crafting, but I also love cute animals. The anguish would probably tear me apart.
It would be by far the most difficult moral dilemma that Bioware has ever put in front of me.
I want a branching quest option where I can choose to skin the person that asks us to kill them and make an equitable item from their skin instead.

I hope to spend the whole game not killing animals, adorable and otherwise. I only managed it with the wolves, bears and Mabari in previous games because they attacked first and I had to kill them to complete the game, and Inquisition seems set to make avoiding encounters easier.
This may render the crafting system useless, but oh well.

No one deserves anything. Adorable is subjective. You have less chances to actually survive than a person that is ready to kill.
Also, this thread was probably a bad idea.
Anytime sometime makes a thread about 'I don't want to kill X' there are inevitably a hundred people who come into say 'I'm going to kill X in the most painful, horrible way possible'. Because some people are just jerks.

I don't care whatever fancy scarf I could make from their fur, I just won't kill those cute things. It's been decided and not even a quest can make me do it. 
(It's been bad enough to have to fight those mabari groups in DA2. But I think those little fennec creatures are too small to actually attack us first ... thank the Maker ...)
