I probably won't be killing foxes , deers , young drakes (I've killed tons of them in DAO/DA2 but they look adorable now!) nugs etc...as long as the wildlife isn't agressive I leave them alone.
In Skyrim , I remember building a house and I needed goat horns to have wall sconces and chandeliers.I didn't want to kill some, so I went to merchants and looted dead goats when I found some on my journeys.
It took a long time but I got proper lightning in my DB's home .
I hope in DAI , it's going to be possible to buy some material .
The drakes are soooo cute this time around.
And not killing any goats...? Roleplaying dedication.
It's worse when you consider that wildlife doesn't respawn in Inquisition, you can hunt an areas wildlife to extinction.
I also installed mods into Oblivion and Skyrim for peaceful Mudcrabs because I think they are just darling.
I thought you could hunt to a temporary "extinction," and then it would take a long time for the area to recover. Is that not the case? I can't imagine them programming permanent wildlife desolation just because you were overzealous that one time...
Does anybody else feel a little unsettled when topics like this coexist with topics in which people explicitly state they have noooo problem killing (sentient) such-and-such a character?
(To the OP: That's not directed at you, or at anybody, really. I don't want to kill the cuddlyfuzzies either, without a good reason, but I apply that same logic to NPCs as well. Some people...do not.)
(If the above statement raises your hackles because "I'm taking this too seriously" or something, then just assume I'm being facetious and ignore me. I'm not trying to start THAT kind of derailment
)
