You asserted that people were complaining that they were fine with killing people and not cute animals. I simply disproved that accusation, not to mention that this thread is asking Bioware to not force players into killing creatures that otherwise present no threat to the player through the use of a quest(s). Some people just have triggers, are you going to tell a victim of sexual abuse that their being silly if a scene of sexual abuse in a game or film upsets them?

 

I didn't realise you were the authority on what is stupid or not. You know, there are people that say all video games are stupid, film are stupid, books are stupid, cars are stupid, planes are stupid, PCs, Xbox, PlayStation etc is stupid, electricity is stupid, green energy, fossil fuels, giving to the poor, being charitable, adoption etc etc. Didn't you know? it's stupid that you dislike anything, ever. In real life, I'm fortunate to have the luxury to choose a vegetarian diet and have access to vegan alternatives for clothing and accessories. Animal products in Thedas, however, given their technology, are much more of a requirement. I plan to play respectfully toward the natural world and not kill animals (cute or otherwise) if they aren't attacking me or essential to supplies or food.

I don't mind not having a quest to kill the little guys(I can understand how you feel since I cringed everytime I saw someone kill dog in their playthroughs of Origins), but I don't think they should be unkillable, not that anyone was suggesting it. I doubt they'll be but you never know.
