I make it a habit to kill all of the cute critters and such in games because I find the sound affects they make to be oddly amusing and it makes my boyfriend give me the evil eye. Same reason I make it a habit to run over everyone in GTA...the death screams are fascinating.

 

However irl I actually have a conscience so I feel bad if I squish a spider and I'm always trying to save mice from my cats, so I'm not entirely f***ed up.

If we do, they should have it like the Fable 2 achievement after you kill a rabbit.

It's weird I don't really have a problem watching movies and shows where people are hurt/killed/die but I really hate it if they kill of animals and often don't watch it after that...

Where I come from, most of the animals you would consider soft , fluffy and or cute eg. rabbits and foxes are an introduced PEST, Kill 'Em All and make a coat I say.

Ever play Dark Souls? The game goes out of its way to make you feel like a heel with one boss (arguably others as well, but those are more pity and less "look at what you are doing, you disgusting monster!"). 'Course, nobody in the game is really good, and the game really wants to stress that you are no different: just an actor in the play.

Yes, I also live in a country where foxes and rabbits are introduced pests that decimate native animal populations.

 

Unless Bioware is going to start preaching about preserving the ecosystem in DA:I, I don't see how this is remotely relevant.

In most games I have a policy, if it attacks me it dies, human or animal.  if it doesn't I leave it alone.  If it's like FA or Skyrim where there is a "needs" option then I only kill what is necessary to survive.  

 

Personally, I just don't enjoy it that much.  I LOVE destroying evil   but if I wanted to spend my time hunting I'd get a hunting game.
