In the comics, Sten (As the Arishok) betrays Alistair. He says he's no longer the "Sten". That's when I start disliking him. But actually, he's better than the previous Arishok.

Yes, by virtue it is a title applied to Qunari filling that particular leadership role.

In the comics, Sten does not betray him, Alistair is a human king trespassing in Qunari waters, he doesn't owe him anything just because they fought together, further he keeps Alistair and the others captive because Titus is hunting them, and he wont let them leave until he deals with Titus. He refers to Alistair as basalit-an(worthy of respect) and tells him all of this, it is only after Alistair tries to escape that he actually attacks them and once Alistair bests him in combat he agrees to help them.
No betrayal he is just doing what he has to as Arishok, like when he fought alongside Alistair during the Blight, he was only doing what he had to, as Sten of the Beresaad.
As for the OP, I don't see any reason for why we would see the Arishok in the middle of Fereldan/Orlais. So no Sten in DA:I IMO.

It'll be interesting if there's a Sten replacement like we got with Wrex and Wreav. And it screws up potential diplomatic solutions if Sten isn't alive. Which is my preferred storyline (leaving him in the cage).

Will there be a Sten? Possibly.
Will there be the Sten we know? No.

Hmm.. He's probably changed his name to Arishok.
And thus, his identity. It's all about the role.

Wow, I didn't know some people have already played the game. Care to share some more spoilers with us?

Probably not but i'd love for Leliana to get another chance to call him a "sooofffftiiiie".
Especially considering he's the arishok now, lmao

We got the Iron Bull. Why do we need Dr. No in there?
As a cameo? Why not?
We had Zevran, Nathaniel and plenty of other cameos. If it is possible... that would be awesome to meet some of the old companions, especially since we have Lelianna as an advisor

Well, he is no longer a Sten. He is the Arishok.

I agree. Her comments alone would be worth it to see Sten ![]()

He might make a cameo appearance. I think a Sten-Iron Bull face-off will be cool with certain decisions (say, the Inquisitor takes up the Qun or something like that) possibly leading to Iron Bull leaving the team.

Also hearing his opinion on the Warden. Does he still remembers all the times he spent with our party? Does he miss them? It's not like hw would admit but... we would know
And new graphics, new engine, new style... dang, I want to see him so much

According to the survey Iron Bull left the qun about 10 years ago... about the time DA:O happened

I don't think Sten is going to make a cameo in Inquisition. There's probably not a reason for one of the leaders of the Qunari people to be away from Par Vollen unless there's another demand of the Qun he needs to see to personally. Plus there's the possibility of DA2's Arishok being alive or Sten being dead. He's probably not going to appear in Inquisition but if there's a game that takes place in Qunari lands and he's alive, he'll be important.

He has it be in DA:I, right? He's the Arishok now and the Qun has to play a part in the game.We have to see the Arishok.
