Besides Sten can not be killed in DAO and Arishok fails at his mission either way, so he probably gets executed

Tbh, I think he would be demoted than executed

Why not? According to Sten, he would have been executed had he returned without his original sword.

I think it would be best if he shows up only if it makes sense(like I hope every other cameo is). I don't want to him to be all like smile for the fans and say "passing through" or something like that. I hate those.

He'd show up and say "No."

Wouldn't really make sense for him to appear in Orlais/Ferelden. Though I'm hoping DA4 is about another Qunari Invasion, perfect time for him to make an appearence.
Or maybe A DLC where we go to Seheron or something in Inquisition...idk, would only make sense if it was post-campaign be that the case though.

I do hope to see him again though, as long as his cameo makes sense..He was probably my favourite Origins companion.. Him and Loghain

I mean that since Sten not having his weapon would be grounds for execution, why wouldn't the Arishok's failure carry the same price?

Those two things wouldnt be held in the same regard. The arishok told him to find out what a blight was and he did so he didnt fail in that mission

Arishok lost the frigging notebook of the frigging Koslun. It's like if some christian lost Jesus's will

For Arishok there is no way back

I read it wrong, i thought he was saying why wouldnt stens failure of completing the arishoks mission carry the same weight. I agree though, i never said anything implying otherwise.

He got it back no matter what, though. Whether Hawke ganks him or not, and whether Isabella escapes, they Qunari take the Tome back.

I thought they didn't get it back if Isabella doesn't return to your party.

That's what I thought as well. If Hawke lets the Arishok take Isabela, she jumps off their ship with the Tome.

Was it with the tome? I thought it was just that she escapes...

Probably at the end with a surprise appearance setting up the next game for a full out Qunari invasion on Thedas.
