I did a quick search to see if this has been brought up, but didn't find anything. So to get to the point: has there been any information about how things like armor and upgrades will work? My main issue with this in DA2 was how frequently you'd find ornate belt this and amulet that on each quest or street roam and then, at least in my case, take the time to see if a particular amulet or belt or ring would work better for your pack of companions. To say I hated that would be an understatement, and in the end I didn't even pay attention to the random crap unless it was something special from a quest. It brought back too many memories of the mind-numbing upgrading of squadmate stuff in ME1, so for most of DA2 my companions were running around with things that were woefully outdated for thier level at any given point in the game. It might just be laziness on my part, but I can't help but think the whole system is a bit boring and ineffectual.
I'd much rather see the really good things ordered/bought from a store or forged for you, with the really rare and "powerful" items being part of an involved quest. Not simply dumped in a barrel or worn by some thug. I mean, really? Why did some blood mage elf have the boots of the Champion on his corpse? How did that ever make sense?
Please tell me it won't be that way in DA:I. ![]()
