What about a good ol' burn him alive?

Sure, burning him at the stake would be fun.

Thats why its an awesome way to despose of a terrorist, with consequences like that all that insurgency becomes kinda less fun.

2 burned insurgent mages on every hill throughout the country.  :P

On a serious note, Anders' story is the most complete story of all DAII companions. There is absolutely no reason for bringing him back, other than a pure fanservice. His purpose as a character was fulfilled with the Chantry's blow, there is nothing that would surpass this event in his life, and therefore his arc could only go downhill from there.

But wouldn't Anders being the spark that started the fire turn into a symbolic figure in the mages uprising? I mean, if still alive wouldn't he become a high ranking member in the mages party? I didn't like him but him disappearing (if not killed) wouldn't make any sense....

We're only getting 9 companions, and no DLC companions. If Anders appears, it will be a cameo.

So you want to make Anders into an Andraste instead?

Yeah, I'm all for freedom from the circle for Mages and the dissolution of the Templars, but Anders is a terrorist. I wouldn't make him into a messiah figure.

Btw i didn't really like Anders in DA2. And i usually kill him as well.

But all this hate is making me feel bad for the person who started the thread, lol.

Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion. Yours is not less valid than ours :)

Say one word about Anders and somebody will show up to scream about how much they hate him like they just can't help themselves. It's kind of funny, really. I could tell the direction this thread would go immediately!

The best part, if the OP was reversed there would have been an Anders fan just as quickly. :P

Too easy. If they are going to bring him back, his death needs to be more equivalent to his crimes...

...attached to the head of the battering ram we see in the trailer, maybe?

His punishment must be much more severe :P

That's pretty much what I have to pay as it is! Though I'm going for The uber, which is probably close to 200$... I hope we get Altus armor!

Wouldn't surprise me if he or justice had a cameo though.

Considering that in the majority of games (by reading polls at least) Anders is a corpse with a knife stuck in him?

He probably wont come back.

Then again if he does he can always be a boss battle...might be fun.

Really though I dont get the insistence on having characters return so much.

Give new characters a chance to.

Terrorism aside, Anders is a whiny, obnoxious, weak man. I'm not a fan.

Well he certainly likes to pretend that he's Andraste, so why not? It's a lot better than a stab in the back.

Because then like Anders an entire religion will be build around him, causing thousands of people to follow his views. If this happens, I see a lot of exploding Chantry buildings in the future.
